A Note from the Administrator...

A fines de esta semana, tomaré el vuelo de regreso al aeropuerto de Los Ángeles desde mi pequeña "peregrinación" a Roma. (Me puse celoso del Padre Eulices y no quería que sólo él tuviera la alegría de visitar estos lugares santos y yo no).

Vuelvo esta semana para que todos podamos tener la Misa de Acción de Gracias juntos este jueves a las 9:00 AM.

Esta misa bilingüe de Acción de Gracias ha sido una maravillosa tradición aquí en nuestra parroquia. Comenza-mos el día con la original, irremplazable y completa comida de Acción de Gracias, (llamada Eucaristia: "Accion de Gracias") instituida por Jesucristo, y luego vamos a nuestros hogares con un pequeño pan bendito para poner en el medio de nuestras mesas de Acción de Gracias.

Para aquellos que no tienen a donde ir este dia de Acción de Gracias ... nuestros hermanos y hermanas de la Iglesia Metodista Unida de Chino (5201 Riverside Dr. Chino, CA 91710) lo invitan a compartir su comida espe-cial, el 23 de noviembre de 2017, de 10:00 AM - 4:00PM. (Todos están invitados, especialmente las personas sin hogar, y me enorgullece decir que muchas personas de St.MM están ayudando).

Una nota del Administrador...

Late this weekend I fly back to Los Angeles airport from my little “pilgrimage” to Rome. (I got jealous of Fr. Eulices and didn’t want him to have all the joy of visiting Holy Places and me not.) I come back this week so we can all have Thanksgiving Mass together this Thursday at 9 am. This bilingual Thanksgiving Mass has been a wonderful tradition here in our parish. We start the day with the original, irreplaceable and complete Thanksgiving meal (called the Eucharist: “Thanksgiving”) instituted by Jesus Christ, and then go to our homes with a small loaf of blessed bread to put in the middle of our personal Thanksgiving tables. For those with nowhere to go for Thanksgiving …our brothers and sisters at Chino United Methodist Church (5201 Riverside Dr. Chino, CA 91710) invite you to share their special meal, November 23rd, 2017 from 10am to 4pm. (Everyone is invited to come, especially the homeless; and I’m proud to say many St. MM folks are helping.) Year 2 retreat paperwork and payment are due… Please turn in your participants paperwork as soon as possible.

The weekend of December 8th – 10th over 80 teens from our confirmation program will attend retreat. Many will embrace their weekend with joy and openness and allow the goodness of God to work in their lives. Please pray for us over that weekend and please join us for the retreat Mass at St. Margaret Mary at 5:00pm on December 10th

Knights of Columbus Keep Christ in Christmas Religious Christmas Cards

The Knights of Columbus will be offering Keep Christ in Christmas cards every weekend after Mass. Starting October 29th and ending November 26th. The cards are available in both English and Spanish. With these cards you can send a Religious Christmas Mes-sage and greeting to your friends and family. All proceeds are for Knights charitable causes.

Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner The complementary meal for the homeless and underprivileged will be held on November 23, 2017 from 10:00am to 4:00pm in the Social Hall of the Chino United Methodist Church, located at 5201 Riverside Dr. Chino, CA 91710.

Volunteers are needed to assist with this event. Please register by contacting the Chino United Methodist Church Office (909) 628-1107, or by contacting Dan Bentley by email at dbentley60@aol.com.

They are taking food donations for the dinner as well as new or used clothing in good condition. They will also be taking toys and sporting goods such as footballs, soccer and beach balls. Please contact them for more details.
