St. Louis de Montfort Mission Statement We are called to be and to become a loving family centered in Jesus. We acknowledge and accept that each of us is unique and has special gifts from the Holy Spirit. We wish to nurture, develop and share these gifts within and for the Body of Christ. Having been called by Baptism into that Body, We celebrate our relationship in Word, Sacrament and Family Celebration. We are then sent to call others to Christ through who we are and what we do. We recognize Christ’s call to be one in Him and commit ourselves to his way of life.

Yes, Christian Foundation for Children and Aging has the same work and the same spirit but a new name. CFCA is now known as Unbound, a name that gives expression to our mission of helping people break through the bonds of poverty. Please stop by the display tables in the parish vestibule on March 15 & 16 to see photos and informa-tion of children, youth, and aging persons from around the world who are waiting for a sponsor. Lent …First Sunday The Lord’s timing is perfect! Let us respond to the call of Pope Fran-cis’ Lenten message: “An Invitation to Evangelical Poverty in our Time.” He puts before us the exam-

ple of Jesus who became poor for our sake. We must reach out individually and as a community to the needs of our suffering brothers and sisters, and thus “be joyous heralds to the message of mercy and hope.” Read this Lenten Message in the Tidings, Feb. 28. Read also in the same Tidings issue, the Lenten letter from Archbishop Gomez. (Sr. Catherine)

Encourage them not to give out their e-mail address, if they have one. If your chil-dren tell you that they have given out personal information online, contact your Internet Service Provider or the site where the information is posted to see what you can do to have it re-moved. For more information, visit www.NetSmartz.com.
