Our Mission Statement
As a welcoming community, we celebrate our life, conscious of our multi-ethnic traditions, vowing unity with Christ in our multi-cultural differences. We usher in our lives (being evangelized) and proclaim (as evangelizers) the reign of God as
Priests, Prophets and Kings, and in so doing, we celebrate our discipleship in Christ Jesus. We extol “being Church” through the formation of Small Faith Communities as a way of life in being priests, prophets and kings; thus, we
become economically stable and self-reliant as we give special attention and solicitude to our youth and the needy.
“They were faithful to the teaching of the apostles, the common life of sharing, the breaking of bread and the prayers.” (Acts 2:42)

THE BEGINNING OF THE END OF ABORTION
40 Days for Life is the largest internationally coordinated pro-life mobilization in history, helping people in local communities end the injustice of abortion through: Prayer & Fasting, Community Outreach & Peaceful Vigil.
October—Respect Life Month …...40 Days for Life
October 7th
“By embracing the mission entrusted to him, St. Juan Diego helped bring Christ’s transforming love to cul-tures gripped by oppression and death. . . . Like St. Juan Diego, let us embrace our daily mission to help others encounter God’s transforming, life-giving love.”
USCCB Secretariat of Pro-Life Activities 2018-19 Respect Life Reflection
Want to end abortion? If you do, the first thing you must do is pray. Prayer is at the center of 40 Days for Life. During each cam-paign, we are calling on people of faith across the na-tion … and around the world … to fall on their knees before the Lord, asking Him to hear our plea and heal our land. Pray outside an abortion facility. Pray at church. Pray at work. Pray in the car. Pray at home with your family.
TAKE A STAND FOR LIFE
From September 26 to November 4, our commu-nity will take part in 40 Days for Life … a ground-breaking, coordinated international mobilization. We pray that, with God’s help, this will mark the beginning of the end of abortion in our city — and beyond.
Parishioners and friends are invited to participate in prayer at the site of Planned Parenthood in West Covina. VIGIL LOCATION—WEST COVINA
Public right-of-way outside Family Planning Associates 1135 South Sunset Avenue West Covina, California
Each day during 40 Days for Life, individuals, churches, families and groups will be asked to join together in prayer for a specific request so the entire Body of Christ can unite around a com-mon focus. These specific prayer requests will seek God’s help for:
Women who are at risk of having an abortion
Innocent children who are at risk of perishing
Men and women who carry the pain of a past abortion experience
Workers at Planned Parenthood facilities and abortion centers
Local, regional, and national leaders
Revival and renewal in our churches
Repentance and healing throughout our na-tion
For more info, please contact Thelma Sison Phone: 909-595-9545 Or visit online: 40daysforlife.com

Called to Renew on OCTOBER 27 & 28
A message from Fr. Tony….
Praise and bless the Lord for the gift of life of 70 years. Indeed, He is kind, merciful and gracious… Thank you to our community, our parishioners, friends and benefactors... through the years you have ‘enfleshed’ the ‘heart of the Father’ during times when I was the younger son and the older son of the par-able. Thank you, thank you for your care, love and understanding, prayers and gifts. The celebration was amazing. A special thanks to our leadership, staff and volunteers. As well to our Bishop Joe and Bishop Dave, brother priests and civic leaders who joined us. Please...please keep me in your prayers. With a grateful heart, Fr. Tony
A message of hope from our Archbishop
...As our Church continues to grow, so do our needs and our responsibilities. This is why, after many months of research and reflection, consultation, and prayer, we have decided to embark on efforts to renew our Church. Our aim is to ensure our parishes, schools, and ministries continue to grow and are able to make critical investments to serve our children, families, and neighbors for years to come.
Our theme, Called to Renew, emphasizes my desire for this campaign to be both spiritual and mate-rial. I pray our efforts will inspire each of us to renew our spiritual commitment and sense of respon-sibility for the mission and future of the Church.
I ask for your prayers and support as we begin Called to Renew. Please know that you and your families are in mine.
May God grant you peace,
Most Reverend José H. Gomez Archbishop of Los Angeles
