James might turn our attention to the reign of God de-scribed by Isaiah, in which people are healed and the earth becomes ripe to bear fruit. Jesus today is focused on this reign of God, healing a Gentile man in a region hostile to his Jewish faith, not mindful of the man’s origins or clothing or status or ability to repay. Isaías, Santiago y Jesús en el Evangelio según san Marcos nos llaman a ir más allá de las apariencias para averiguar dónde se debe hacer y se ha hecho la voluntad de Dios, así en la tierra como en el cielo. TRADICIONES DE NUESTRA FE En muchos países latinoamericanos la Fiesta de la Santa Cruz se celebra el 3 de mayo, pero la Iglesia universal la celebra el 14 de septiembre. La fiesta del 14 de septiembre conmemora la consagración del santuario del Santo Sepul-cro en Jerusalén. Este es el santuario más importante de la religión cristiana, pues en él se encuentran tanto el monte del Calvario

donde falleció Jesús como el sepulcro del cual resucitó al tercer día. Sin estos dos acontecimientos no hubiese cristia-nismo. Nosotros los latinos tenemos muchas fiestas y mu-chos santuarios. Ninguna de éstas puede ser más importan-te que las que recuerdan la Pasión, Muerte y Resurrección de Jesús.
