Year 5/6 Girls indoor 5-aside Football
The Y5/6 girls continued their excellent
start to the season after registering 3 more wins against local teams at a Trinity tour-
nament.
It was all guns blazing in our opening
games, with Kirsten chasing down every loose ball and seriously pressuring the op-
ponents. She scored twice against Hunger-ford, while Olivia and Lily B ensured a clean
sheet with some more excellent defending.
Bella kept 3 clean sheets at the tournament
and continues to grow as a goalkeeper with every game, impressing spectators from
other schools and referees alike. Ellie’s bril-liant goal against St Finnians was cancelled
out as their star player turned up the gas
to score twice. Ellie scored again to take a 1-0 victory against Bright Walton, which
could, should and would have been 2-0 had Imogen’s powerful strike not hit the post.
Olivia was sidelined with a pesky back inju-
ry so Lily A stepped in and held her own in
a tournament dominated by big, Year 6 girls. Mia also played in all 3 outfield posi-
tions, and her willingness to adapt and add to her game was rewarded with the win-
ning goal to overthrow otherwise undefeat-
ed Calcot, who were on track to top the table.
A tricksy technicality meant that the
top 3 teams from the afternoon pro-
gressed to the Finals - and the referee (albeit later than we would have liked)
has confirmed with us that our out-standing 9 points was indeed enough.
Well done girls!
Mui Days & Fit Fridays
Since the launch of our Fit Fridays
there has been some confusion on
Mui Days so with effect from January
2018 Mui Days will be held on
Thursdays as so not to clash with Fit
Fridays.
Up un#l Christmas we have a few more
Mui Days which will be held on the
adver#sed Fridays and we ask that chil-
dren ensure they either wear or bring a
tracksuit with them to ensure they can
fully engage with the Fit Friday ac#vi-
#es.
A reminder regarding the rules for
Mui Days
Whilst we encourage children to wear
non-uniform on specific days no#fied in
advance we ask that children do not
wear Jewellery, make-up or nail
varnish, no shoes with heels or flip-
flops should be worn and long hair
should con#nue to be #ed back using
use discreet accessories in maroon,
golden yellow, black or white. On most
Mui days normal #metables are
generally adhered to and therefore
children should wear clothes that allow
them to take part fully in the lessons.
We thank you for your co-opera#on.
Bags for schools
A huge thank you to
everyone that
brought in recycling
for our Bags for
Schools collec#on
on Tuesday morn-
ing. We have raised
£142.50 for play-
ground enrichment.

Tex7ng
We just wanted to let you know about our texts. Some#mes
they may appear to be abrupt or short and sweet, that is
because we only have 160 characters we can use per text. So
we do not mean for them to come across as rude or abbreviat-
ed, but we have to get our messages over in very few words.
We thank U for your understanding.
