Thinking of becoming Catholic?
If you, or someone you know, has expressed interest in the Catholic Church, we invite you to call the parish office at 513-941-3661 x 12, and speak to Marti Barnes, Pastoral Associate, about our Christian Initiation proc-ess, known as the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). We have begun weekly meetings and welcome new faces!
Attention Veterans
Veterans Day is November 11th. During the month of October we will be collecting names of St. Joseph’s living veterans. In the Gathering Space you will find a book where we are asking all veterans to sign in with their name and branch of the service.
St. Vincent de Paul Coat Drive
October 26 & 27
This weekend the St. Vincent de Paul Society is hosting a coat drive to help keep the less fortunate in our area warm this winter. There will be boxes set up in the Gathering Space to collect new or gently used, clean coats and outerwear (all sizes needed).
Thank you for your support!
Mass of Remembrance
During all weekend Masses on November 2nd & 3rd, St. Joseph Parish will be having the Mass of Remembrance for our deceased parishioners and family members of St. Joseph’s parishioners, who have died since November 1, 2018. Please keep them in your prayers.
We Remember . . . .
The month of November is dedicated to remembering the saints and our deceased family members and friends. As you and your family seek to live out your own vocations to holiness, we encourage you to look for inspiration and strength in reflecting with gratitude on the lives of those powerful men and women of faith who lived Gospel lives. We give thanks to you, O Lord our God, for all your servants and witnesses of times past:
• For Abraham, the father of believers, and Sarah, his wife,
• For Moses, the lawgiver, and Aaron, the priest, • For Miriam and Joshua, Deborah and Gideon, and
Samuel and Hannah, his mother, • For Isaiah and all the prophets, • For Mary, the mother of our Lord, • For Peter and Paul and all the apostles, • For Mary and Martha, and Mary Magdalene, • For Stephen, the first martyr, and all the martyrs and
saints in every age and in every land, • For the holy men and women in our family who have
been examples of faith for us.
In your mercy, O lord, our God, give us, as You gave to them, the hope of salvation and the promise of eternal life. We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Both the first reading and today’s psalm say clearly that the Lord hears the cry of the poor. Have I been given the gifts — of time or money or abilities — to be the means by which God answers their need?
