Events/handouts/ fundraiser policy
Any group or individual holding an event on St. Joseph property must fill out an appropriate form, and have it signed by Fr. Nicholas in advance. If you would like the event advertised in the oral announcements, a written copy must be submitted to the church office by Wed at 4 pm. Please plan your activities in advance so that we can properly plan for its success. Forms are available in the office or by email

A Word of Thanks from Father Nicholas
I extend my pastoral gratitude to all the wonderful parishioners who – by their generous sharing of treasure in
year-end monetary contributions, by their selfless donation of time and talent, and by their assiduous prayers
– brought alive the beauty of the Advent & Christmas Seasons. Inside and outside, the church displayed the
Catholic moments of patient waiting and the great Mystery of the Incarnation. Amidst the Liturgy, God was
honored in the proclamation of the Word and in sacred music; the faithful were assisted in the reception of the
sacraments; worshippers were warmly welcomed and received in holy hospitality! Please accept my heartfelt
appreciation.
On a note of personal gratitude, I offer my thanks to all who wished me well, offered me prayers, gave me
cards, gifts and food this past Christmas Season. Thank you also for your prayers, kind wishes and gifts for the
twins, Benedict and Leah (who have not yet learned to say “Thank you”); on their behalf, I extend genuine
thanks.
I have never before been overwhelmed with such loving generosity. Be assured that you are remembered in
my daily prayer and I will offer Mass for each of you in these coming weeks of Ordinary Time, Lent and Easter.

Sacraments:
Baptism: Call parish office to register for preparation classes. Expectant parents are encouraged to attend.
Reconciliation: Wednesday 5:30-7:00 PM or by appointment
Marriage: Call or email for an appointment with Fr. Nicholas at least 6 months prior to wedding.
Ministry with the Elderly: Homebound parishioners who would like to receive communion at their home, contact the parish office.
Religious Education: Children: Wednesday 5:30 – 6:45 PM Sept.- May; Adults (RCIA) Sundays 5:30. Call Jim Reaghard 638-1427 to register.

Look for Sign up sheets for the following Lenten activities:
Fr. Nicholas Lenten Talks – A study of Pop John Paul’s II’s document, “Familiaris consortio” (The
Role of the Christian Family in the Modern World; Nov. 1981) will be held on 4 Sundays during
Lent: Feb. 14,21,28 & Mar. 13.
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament during Lent begins at 1:00pm and concludes at 6:30pm on
the Fridays during Lent. At least 2 people per hour are needed for adoration and it cannot
happen without full coverage. Please find an hour to spend with our Lord.
Friday Night Lenten Soup Suppers – Held each Fri. during Lent (except Good Friday)
immediately following Stations of the Cross, which begins at 7:00pm.
