Cold and Flu Season As we begin these winter
months, many people have concerns about passing around cold
and flu germs during the greeting of peace and receiving the
Precious Blood at Communion. We appreciate and respect those
concerns. If the people around you are reluctant to shake your
hands during the greeting of peace, please do not take offense.
A smile and a nod of the head with a sincere wish for the peace
of Christ is a fine way of wishing that blessing to those around
you. Also, if you have a cold, think you may be getting one or
feel achey with flu symptoms (sounds like a commercial,
doesn’t it?), then please do not drink from the cup at
Communion. If you wish, you might just stop before the chalice
with the Precious Blood, give a reverent nod and silently
remind yourself of Christ’s gift of himself to us.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Calling all Singers

Help make this Holiday Season joyful with our
voices lifted up!
This week’s second collection is for the
Religious Retirement. Your gift to today’s
collection for the Retirement Fund for Religious
provides vital support for the retirement needs of
senior sisters, brothers and religious order priests.
It also helps ensure that younger
members can continue the
good works of their elders.
Thank you and May God Bless you!

A request from Genesis House
As the weather is changing we are in serious need of blankets for twin, double and
queen sized beds. The bed sized blankets can be used as long as they are unstained and of
the quality of that you would use for your child. New blankets, of course are also grate-
fully accepted. These can be delivered to Genesis House Monday - Friday from
10 a.m.—4 p.m. from now until April, 2015.
Home or Hospital Visits: If you have a family member who is ill and either homebound or in the hospital and would like Fr. Ed to visit, please call the rectory - 372-5313 , and leave a message if your call is outside the office hours. Please note, Father is NOT called by the hospital when some-one is admitted. It is up to the family to notify us. Thank you for your cooperation. It is greatly appreciated!!
