HOLY NAME SOCIETY UPDATE
Final note on the Spring Clean-up Project. The final phase took place on Saturday, June 9th. We filled a huge dumpster with stuff from many locations in the building. It was a huge success and could not have been accomplished without the help from Big Al, Little Al, Eric, Wes, Larry, Fred, Carm and Eddie. HNS continues to help our one parishioner family with yard work and some other tasks around the house. We are always looking to help others, so contact the rectory or Jerry at 630-740-5461 for help. CCW
The CCW is sponsoring our summer volunteer trip to the Northern Illinois Food Bank on Saturday, June 23rd from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon. Adults and children aged 8 and older are invited to participate. The food bank requires a list of participants in advance, so you must register by 6/17. There will be sign-up sheets in the vestibule the weekend of 6/16—6/17 or contact Terry at 630-235-2966. We will be working in a warehouse envi-ronment, so closed shoes are required (no sandals).
Hope Floats: An Evening Cruise to Benefit Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet!
Join Catholic Chari-ties’ Board of Young Professionals for a cruise along the Fox River on Saturday, August 18 from 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm. The boat leaves from 2 North Avenue in St. Charles. Cost is $65 per ticket for an en-chanting evening that

Immaculate Conception Church Immaculate Conception Church is hosting a bus trip on Tuesday, June 26 to experience the na-tionally renowned Shrine of Christ’s Passion in St. John, Indiana. Our coach bus will leave IC at 9:00AM, returning by 3:00PM. If you are interest-ed in participating, please RSVP to Pam Stefik at 630-530-3497 to reserve your spot. Available spots are limited to 40. The cost to participate is $25.00 per person, which is payable at the time of reservation. The charge will defray the cost of transportation. There are a limited number of club cars available for those who may not be able to walk the path. The Shrine is a multi-media interactive, half-mile winding Prayer Trail that depicts the last days of Jesus Christ’s life. Forty life-size bronze sculp-tures in a tranquil setting, complete with beautiful music and amazingly sculptured gardens allow-ing visitors to experience the story of the crucifix-ion and resurrection as never before! Hi everyone, I am Fr. Roy Jacob CMI, from the congregation of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate. I am happy to be part of the parish community of St. Alexander and St. John the Apostle, helping Fr. Mark and taking care of the pastoral care of the sick in the hospitals. I am a native of Kerala, southern part of India, where St. Thomas the apostle preached the gospel for twenty years. I was ordained in 2003. After my ordination I was appointed as parochial vicar for two years in India then moved to Argentina and served in a parish for five years as an admin-istrator of the parish. Later I came to New York as an associate coordinator of the Carmelites priests in the US and Canada, and as an associate pastor for three years. I have been doing my ministry in the diocese of Joliet since 2014. My last appointment as a parochial vicar was in St. Dominic parish Bolingbrook until June 20, 2018. Apart from the seminary studies I took BA in psychology and English literature which is from India and a master’s degree in psychology from the US. Hoping to see you all soon.

Hola a todos, soy el padre Roy Jacob CMI, de la congregación de los Carmelitas de María Inmaculada. Me com-place ser parte de la comunidad parroquial de San Alejandro y el Apóstol San Juan y cuidar de la pastoral de los enfermos en los hospitals. Soy originario de Kerala, en la parte sur de la India, donde Santo Tomás, el apóstol de Jesús predicó el evangelio por veinte años. Fui ordenado en 2003. Después de mi ordenación, fui nombrado vicario parroquial en una parroquia durante dos años en la India, luego me mudé a la Argentina y serví en una parroquia durante cinco años. Más tarde llegué a Nueva York como coordinador asociado de los sacerdotes Carmelitas en los Estados Unidos y Canadá, y como pastor asociado en nuestra parroquia durante tres años. Desde 2014 en adelante, he estado haciendo mi ministerio en la diócesis de Joliet. 2018 Catholic Ministries Annual Appeal Goal Achieved!
Our Parish Target: $24,000. Thanks to those who have already responded with a gift or pledge to the 2018 Catholic Ministries Annual Appeal. To date, $28,454 has been committed in gifts and pledges of which 23,132 has been collected. Please honor your pledges as the year goes on. Once we collect our target of $24,000, the parish receives a rebate of 70% of the amount collected over the target! There is still plenty of time to respond with a gift to this year’s
Appeal. Gift envelopes are available in the back of church and may be placed in the weekend collection basket.

Please bring in insurance information and a baptismal certificate for each child being registered. A payment is expected at time of registration.
