Children’s Faith Formation
classes resume today!!
Please remember to drive slow and
cautiously through all parking areas
during drop off and pick up times.
Classes at St. John’s will begin in the
CCD building at 9:45am, NOT in the

Pickup is at 11am and parents or
guardians are required to go in to the

children will be sent out of the building
without a guardian!
Today is Catechetical Sunday!! Catechetical Sunday is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the role
that each person plays, by virtue of Baptism, in handing on the faith
and being a witness to the Gospel.
We would like to thank all of our catechists and catechist aides here at
Saints John, Joseph and Mary for answering their call to share God’s
Word and teachings with our youngest parishioners.
Thank You!!

Let us offer thanks to God...
... For all the blessings that were given to our Fall Festival last Sunday. From the perfect weather to the absolutely delicious dinners served, there was great reason for feeling “blessed.” The many visitors who had such a good time at the Festival had nothing but words of praise for the hospitality they experienced from our parish family. Some came from Ohio, New York, West Virginia and other parts of Pennsylvania. Some visiting us for the first time and others making our festival an annual trip. There wasn’t a tent, booth or area that didn’t have laughter and smiles. Our workers and our guests were happy, happy, happy! To all of you who worked so hard and in so many ways, our sincerest thanks. Our heartfelt thanks to all of the Festival chairpersons. There are far too many people whose names should really be mentioned here and without whom there would be big gaps in the smooth running of the festival. But, we do mention our 2019 Festival Coordinators Bob & Sylvia Danehy for another great job steering the Festival to success. You are awesome. A big shout out to Todd Trettel who offered countless hours before, during and after the Festival. We could not have accomplished what we did without your help. Special thanks to Ralph Fey and Gary Toward who were on the scene to do whatever and wherever. And to our Kitchen Lady Kathy Weleski a world of thanks for running the kitchen like a well-oiled machine. God bless you all! Working together, bonding in hospitality, and sharing the aches of setting up and taking down makes us a real family. Thank you all for whatever part you played in this wonderful event we call St. Joseph Fall Festival. This year’s Festival served an amazing 2,149 dinners (2,033 adult, 108 children and 10 complimentary). A listing of the Basket Raffle donors and winners accompanies this bulletin. A detailed financial report will follow in the next few weeks.
