Worship Life and Faith Formation Ministries

Liturgy of the Hours Liturgy of the Hours are prayed each morning in the Ave Maria Chapel, before Mass or at 7:00am. Please join us.

Lenten Fridays/Eucharistic Adoration There will be no Friday morning Adoration during Lent, instead there will be Adoration every Friday in the Sanctuary

from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Benediction is at 6:00 pm. At 6:15 pm Stations of the Cross begin, which helps us reflect on the

passion and death of Jesus. Stations of the Cross will be read by the following groups each week: Feb 16 – Men of St.

Jerome (MOSTJ); Feb 23 – The Women’s Society – Stations of the Cross from Mary’s View; Mar 3 – MOSTJ; Mar 9 –

Knights of Columbus (Fish Dinner); Mar 16 – Waco Catholic Moms; Mar 23 – Senior Youth Group - Mime Stations; Mar

30 – 3PM Good Friday – MOSTJ - Fr. Raj Reflection. After Stations the group responsible for the Stations of the Cross

each week will put on a Lenten Supper in Jordan Hall. All are invited and urged to come to these devotions.

R.C.I.A. Redemptive Suffering—Every pain we endure with love, every cross borne with resignation, benefits every man, woman,

and child in the Mystical Body of Christ. Those who are chosen to bear a greater portion of suffering than others are called

by God to heal the souls of many whose lives are bereft of the knowledge and love of God. Redemptive Suffering not only

helps poor sinners directly by suffering for them but edifies and consoles good and holy souls as they journey through life

striving for holiness. This dual role of Redemptive Suffering merits for those chosen by God for such a role, a glory and hap-

piness in the Kingdom beyond our concepts or imagination. Like Jesus, their sufferings, united to His, rise to Heaven and

obtain grace and repentance for those who are straying from God and His Love.

Class Topic 2/7: Psychology & Theology – Redemptive suffering – Annulments
