Today’s Reading Activity Enjoy listening to online stories together-Slowly Slowly Said the Sloth and The Tiger Who Came to Tea. Talk about what the title of the book is and who the author is. Can your child remember what the author’s job is?

Today’s Writing Activity Practise writing your name. Only practise one letter at a time. Do not move onto a new letter until you can write it using the correct formation. Remember to start the letter from the top and follow in an anticlockwise turn. Practise writing your name. Only practise one letter at a time. Once you can write your first name practise writing your surname.

If you have any toy animals use them to play an animal themed game of I Spy focusing on the first sound in the word.

Topic activity

Can you think of any animals that live in the jungle? Try making some noises like different jungle animals for your family to guess! You could growl like a tiger, chatter like a monkey. Roar like a lion or snap like a crocodile! Try doing some actions too!
