HELP NEEDED KEEPING CHAIRS ALIGNED IN THE CHURCH We are in need of a couple young people who would be willing to give an hour or so of their time in ser-

vice to the parish every couple of months! As you may notice, the rows of chairs often become misaligned as

people sit down and stand over a period of time, shifting forward and backward, left and right. Right now, there

are rows where the seats do not properly align to the kneelers in front of them. So we need “new blood” to help

months, all of us would be so grateful! Call Mary at the Parish Office if interested. 254-6233.

WE ARE BACK IN ORDINARY TIME Happy Second Sunday of Ordinary Time!

Ordinary Time is the time outside of our two

major solemnities, Christmas and Easter, and their

preparatory seasons, Advent and Lent. Instead of the

readings focusing on preparation for Christ’s birth or

his second coming or the events leading up to his

death and resurrection, Ordinary Time scripture tells

of Jesus “regular” life experiences with the people—

his calling of the disciples, his travels, his miracles,

his major teachings. As we move anew into the life

of the historical Jesus, let us once again ponder how

we learn more about our Savior and love him more

dearly.

This year there are seven Sundays in Ordi-

nary Time Winter, which ends on Tuesday, February

26, as we celebrate Shrove Tuesday and get ready for

Ash Wednesday and Lent the next day!

SENSORY FRIENDLY MASS In an effort to embrace and welcome the members of our church with Autism, Down Syndrome,

and other special needs, St. Helen Parish will be hosting a Sensory Friendly Liturgy for the com-

munity at large. Please join us on Sunday, January 26 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. The Mass will be cel-

ebrated by Bishop Binzer.

We encourage you to share details of this Mass with anyone that may appreciate our beautiful

liturgy. During this Mass you will experience:

the Christian work environment and flexibility more than

make up for it! Call the HR department of ENLC at 937-
