Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energies for the Development in Cape VerdeEnergy efficiency and renewable energies are the focus in the German-Cape-Verdean Energy Symposium, organised for the first time by the German-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCILA) in Lisbon, in close cooperation with the a Directorate General for Energy of Cape Verde (DGE) and with the support of Cape Verde Investments (CI), the Chambers of Commerce and Industry Sotavento and Barlavento, the Ecowas Centre for Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) and the German consultant RENAC (Renewables Academy).

In a one-day Symposium, specialists of Cape Verde and Germany inform about the latest developments in the field of renewable energies and energy efficiency. In addition to the exchange of information, 8 German companies are looking for partnerships with Cape Verdean companies and present their products and services for the respective area.

All the presentations will be simultaneously interpreted. The participation is free of charge.

In the days following the Symposium, Bilateral Meetings, previously scheduled and mediated by the CCILA and its local partners, will be held between the German participants and potential Cape Verdean partners.

The Business Mission, including the Symposium and Bilateral Meetings, is coordinated with the activities of the 1st Cape Verde International Fair of Environment and Renewable Energies (FIAER), 15th to 17th of October 2015, thus completing one week dedicated to energy.

For those Cape Verdean companies with offices in other cities, the CI, the ECREEE and the MTIDE (Cape Verdean Ministry of Tourism, Investment and Business Development) provide their meeting rooms in the city of Praia.
