“People that govern hold an important publicoffice and their identity should be known totheir school(s) and wider communities. Asexpected under statutory guidance formaintained schools and required by the AFHand funding agreements for academy trusts,boards must publish details on their websiteabout each person (including all governors andassociate members in maintained schools andall Members, Trustees, individuals on any LGBsand the AO in academy trusts). Thisinformation must include any relevant materialbusiness or pecuniary interests, including anygovernance roles in other educationalinstitutions. It must also include any materialinterests arising from close family relationshipsbetween those involved in governance orbetween them and senior employees.”

“The trust must publish on its website up-to-date details of its governance arrangements in a readilyaccessible format, including:• the structure and remit of the members, board of trustees, committees and local governing bodies
(the trust’s scheme of delegation for governance functions), and the full names of the chair of each• for each member who has served at any point over the past 12 months, their full names, date of
appointment, date they stepped down (where applicable), and relevant business and pecuniaryinterests including governance roles in other educational institutions
• for each trustee and local governor serving at any point over the past 12 months, their full names,date of appointment, term of office, date they stepped down (where applicable), who appointedthem, and relevant business and pecuniary interests including governance roles in othereducational institutions. If the accounting officer is not a trustee their business and pecuniaryinterests must still be published
• for each trustee their attendance records at board and committee meetings over the last academicyear
• for each local governor their attendance records at local governing body meetings over the lastacademic year”
