Week 37: Chris is now considered full-term but continues to gain and grow every day. Lungs are days from completion. “I’m practicing breathing with my amniotic fluid.” It is easy to grasp things with Chris’s little fingers. Typically, boys will weigh more than girls at birth. Only 4% of babies are actually born on their due date. Mom, pack your bags and don’t forget the camera for those all-important pictures of the baby. “They will see the glory of the LORD, the splendor of our
God.” Isaiah 35:2

ADVENT SCRIPTURE STUDY
December 4 at 3:00 PM -- The
Main Street Singers will present “The Silence and the Sound” at the First Presbyterian Church. This Christmas presentation is more than just a retelling of the Nativity of Jesus, this work explores both the mystery and the majesty of Christ’s birth. Free will donation.
It’s time to think about decorating the church for the Christmas season. If
you are interested in donating poinsettias for Christmas, please contact Carol Cooper at 657-7678.
Thank you!

Featured Saint of the Week of December 4, 2016: St. Augustine
Patron Saint of 3rd Grade
St. Augustine was an intellectual and worldly man who shunned Christianity for much of his life. His mother, St. Monica, prayed for his conversion for many years. He had a dramatic conversion to Christianity at the age of 33. Here are some beloved quotes from St. Augustine:
You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you. If you believe what you like in the gospels, and reject what you don't like, it is not the gospel you believe, but yourself. But my sin was this, that I looked for pleasure, beauty, and truth not in Him but in myself and His other creatures, and the search led me instead to pain, confusion, and error.
