Calendar of Events
Our CYO will be transitioning into a small group based ministry this fall! Beginning in August, high school students can sign up to join or create a small faith formation group. Each group will be led by young adults and adults from the parish. We will continue to offer monthly gatherings on Sunday evenings, which will be open to all high school students, regardless of whether or not they are involved in a small group. Come hear more about what we have in mind on Thursday, August 6 from 6 - 7:30 PM.

OUR WEEKLY OFFERING
Weekly Calendar Congratulations to all the boys and girls who received their First Holy Communion on July 25. It was a beautiful celebration that these students waited so patiently for! We are so happy for all of you. A special thank you to Mrs. Patty Swonger and Mrs. Helen Roussel, our religion coordinators, and our teachers Mrs. Abbey Rucker, Ms. Alyssa Paulin, Mr. Juan Gutierrez, Mrs. Carol Ryan, Ms. Catherine Laughlin, and Ms. Dawn Curole for all they did to prepare our children for this wonderful day!
PARISH SCHOOL OF RELIGION Registration for students in 1st to 7th grade will start on Monday, July 20 and will end on Friday, August 14. Please register during this period so that we can order the correct number of books and have them when classes start.
•ALL current and new students MUST register. •New students MUST provide a copy of their baptismal certificate and the certificate of any other sacrament received. •Classes are held on Sunday mornings from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. concluding with 10:00 a.m. Mass. •Classes start Sunday, September 13, 2020. •We provide an opportunity for children with special needs and challenges to gather together in a "Church" setting to learn about their Catholic Faith on their own level . •Registration will be ONLINE. You can access and complete the form ONLINE by going to St. Clement of Rome website "scrparish.org", under the "Youth & CYO" Tab, and then click on "Parish School of Religion (PSR)". The Knights of Columbus will be hosting a golf tournament at the Chateau Golf & Country Club in Kenner on Monday, August 3 at 2:00 PM.
They are looking for golfers as well as sponsorships, food, drinks, and door prize donations. A meal will be served after golf, while food and drinks will be on the golf course. Funds raised from the tournament will benefit various local charities! Registration fees are $125 per single player or $500 per 4-person team. There will be prizes for first and second place winners. Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA) Persons interested in joining the Catholic Church or baptized Catholics wanting to complete their initiation (with Eucharist
and/or Confirmation) are invited to fill out an RCIA registration form in order to receive more information about the process. Sessions will be held on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM, beginning September 9. If anyone knows someone who may be interested in looking into the Catholic faith, please invite him or her to fill out a form or contact the Parish Center. This program is open to everyone. All that is required is a desire to learn more about the Catholic faith and an openness to hear God's call in one's life. FIRST THURSDAY HOLY HOUR
On August 6, we will have a Holy Hour in church immediately following the 8:15 AM Mass. This holy hour will conclude with Benediction by 9:45 AM. The Adoration Chapel will be closed during this time.
