St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School Newsletter www.stcharlesschoolfw.org
May 1, 2015 [email protected] 2604843392
Dear Parents and Students, I hope you are well. Please pray for our second grade students who will be receiving their First Holy Communion this weekend! The students, with the guidance of their teachers and parents, have been working hard all year preparing to receive the Body and the Blood of Jesus. This is a holy and exciting time for our young people, and we are very proud of them! Exciting New Church Construction = Arrival, Dismissal, & Parking Changes = Great Need for Cooperation & Patience! Parking Lot Update: Please review the attached parking lot map. With the construction beginning next week on the new gathering space for our Church, most of rows A, B, and C have been moved to the opposite side of the parking lot to rows H, I, J, & K. In most cases, spaces are in the same order as before. Remember: There are only 3 ½ weeks left in the school year, so please be kind and courteous to other families in the parking lots, as we adjust to this transition! In the fall, those moved now, will return back to the west side of the parking lot, putting them closer to the Reed exit again. However, in August, the entire parking lot will shift to the east, so the alphabetic rows for all will probably change. If you have any questions or concerns, email them to [email protected] Thank you for your cooperation as we prepare for the exciting new addition to our parish. Morning DropOff: Lot exit options limited. Exit from the direction you enter in the morning. Do not turn left. The next week will be interesting! Like most changes, after we live through a few days of the new construction we will have a better understanding of our options. In the morning, plan on exiting from the same direction that you entered. So, if you enter from Trier Road by the football field, then you will need to drop off your children and loop back around to the football field and exit turning right onto Trier Road. If you enter from Reed Road just south of the Church, you will loop around towards the cafeteria and exit turning right onto Reed Road. Prior to this change there was an option. St. Charles Borromeo School Receives FourStar Designation Congratulations to all within our St. Charles School Community! The Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction, Glenda Ritz, announced the 20132014 FourStar Schools on Tuesday. The designation is achieved by a school placing in the top 25th percentile on the ISTEP+ test in math and English, receiving an A in the state's accountability system, and being accredited by the Indiana Department of Education. Thank you faculty, staff, students, and parents for continuing to make our school a great place to be!
