WELCOME GUESTS, We are honored that you chose to worship with us today!

All who are not receiving Holy Communion are encouraged to express in their hearts a prayerful desire for unity with the Lord Jesus and with one another.

Then he sat down, and called the twelve. And said to them. ”If anyone wishes to be first, he shall be the last of all and the servant of all.” (Mark 9:35)

Almighty God, take from me all vainglorious atti-tudes, all appetites of my own praise, all envy, cov-etousness, gluttony, sloth and lechery, all wrathful affections, all appetite for revenge, all desire or de-light of other folks’ harm, all pleasure in provoking any person to wrath and anger. And give me Lord a humble, lowly, quiet, peaceable, patient, charitable, kind, tender and merciful mind. (Saint Thomas More) - Worship

Praying the rosary will resume on Sunday,

October 7th 11 a.m. in the church!

To break sin's grip, put yourself in God's hands.

PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL William Walker

Blessings and thanks to Mary Holder and family, who prayed for vocations last week.

Sick this Week Clarissa Dorsey, Subrenia Lain,

Annette Turner

If you are aware of a parishioner who is ill, please get his/her permission to have their name printed on the sick list, and inform the parish office.

"You covet but do not possess. You kill and envy but you cannot obtain; you fight and wage war. You do not possess because you do not ask. You ask but do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions." James 4:2-3 St. James warns each one of us against the dangers of materialism. In fighting the materialism in our cul-ture, I must ask myself not only, "What do I own?" But more importantly, "What owns me?" What is the one thing I possess that I could not live without? This is what owns me.
