OUR NEXT SUMMER RETURN SERIES STARTS IN JULY After the great
response of the past Advent and Lent courses on the book Return: How to
Bring Your Loved Ones Back to the Faith, we have decided to bring the series
back this summer! Join us in the Cabrini Room at 7:00 PM for six consecutive
Wednesdays, July 12 through August 16. Return books can be purchased for
$2 a copy from the parish office at any time. During this course, we watch the
video series accompanying the book and allow time for discussion on the best
practices to bring our fallen-away family and friends back into full communion
with the Church.

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED for the fall mission program, Wisdom and Works of Mercy. This program
follows 33 Days to Morning Glory and Consoling the Heart of Jesus and focuses on contemplating the mystery
of the Holy Trinity. Completing the previous two mission programs is not required to volunteer. The program
lasts 10 weeks, starting the week of August 20 and ending the week of October 22. For more information or to
sign up to help facilitate, please email [email protected] or call 701-446-8509.
STEWARDSHIP MOMENT
“…whoever does not take up his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.”
~Mt: 10:38
Pope Benedict XVI said “The world offers you comfort. But you were not made for comfort, you were made for
greatness”. “Comfort” puts me first. Picking up your cross and following Jesus puts God and others first. Why
settle for comfort when you can achieve greatness! Pick up your cross, ask Jesus for guidance on using your
gifts, and live the life God intended for you!
SANCTUARY RESTORATION BEGINS! Our Centennial Restoration Project officially begins Monday, July
10. Please come at 8:00 AM on Monday if you are able to help move sanctuary furniture downstairs to our
Social Hall/set up chairs, etc. Please note that our main sanctuary/church area will be inaccessible for
approximately 14 weeks, starting July 10. This means all Masses and Adoration hours will be held downstairs
in the Social Hall. There is elevator access to what will be our temporary sanctuary. The hall will remain our
sanctuary throughout the project, thus no outside activities can be accommodated in the hall during this time
period. Please plan accordingly and thank you for your patience and understanding as we undergo this exciting
restoration!
ATTENTION ADORERS The renovation of the church will begin on July 10. During the renovation period,
Eucharistic Adoration will take place in our temporary sanctuary in the Social Hall and will be held on
Thursdays from 7:30 AM-4:30 PM. This is only a temporary change to our regular schedule. Please stay tuned
in November when we will switch back to our original schedule.

BISHOP SHEEN ON RPR Known as one of the first televangelists, Venerable Fulton Sheen was an American
Bishop known for his preaching and especially for his work on radio and later, television, from 1930 through
1968. He was loved and admired by people of all faiths as he tackled the important topics of that time. His
message is just as relevant today and we are blessed to have recordings of those broadcasts which are aired
weekly on Real Presence Radio. He combines humor with solid Catholic teaching on topics which continue to
impact our lives and the world in which we live. Tune in each Saturday evening, 8:00 PM on 1280 AM,
1370AM, 99.7 FM, or 98.9 FM.

INDEPENDENCE DAY PRAYER We thank Thee, O God, that the freedom we celebrate in coming days is not
an attainment, but an obtainment- that it is Thy precious gift to man as part of his createdness. We thank Thee
for the daring of our forefathers in reclaiming their "ancient rights." We thank Thee, too, for the heroes' valor,
the patriots' devotion, the prophets' vision, and for all the blood and sweat and toil by which our freedom was
purchased. As we commemorate our national independence, accept again the declaration of our everlasting
dependence upon Thee. In all our joy and thanksgiving, enable us to remain a nation "under God" and give us
the grace and goodness to minister to mankind in His name. Amen.
