St. Anne School Family Newsletter November 4, 2015 Dear St. Anne Parents, The teachers and I hope your conference was/will be informative and productive. We are grateful to you for the trust and support you give our teachers and staff in helping to educate your child(ren). As you help your child set a goal or two for this second quarter, please reflect on not only an academic area, but also a responsibility area. Every child should be assigned duties at home that s/he takes responsibility to complete. I jokingly say to a child on his/her way home with mom or dad, “Are you doing the dishes or folding the clothes, or setting up the table, or vacuuming etc. tonight?” In reality, my comment is not intended to be a joke. A well rounded student is NOT someone who just works on school assignments 24 hours a day. A wellrounded student is someone who IS GIVEN responsibility for helping out at home on a daily basis!! Please keep this reality in mind when you are setting up goals with your child(ren). PARENT TOUR – NOVEMBER 5 & 17 Parent Tours are now well underway. We invite all interested parties to take a tour while school is in session to see the school in action. For tour dates visit our website at www.stanne.com. 5K WALK UPDATE Our final top 5 fundraising families are: Sarah (31) & Amelia (32) Batt $900 ($1,050) Juliana Calvo Perez (32) $700 ($800) Raiden Agboh (32) $400 ($500) Emily (42) Geena Yee (62) $270 ($420) Jordan Wu (52) $245 ($345) These 5 families will receive 5 hours of volunteer credit for their great fundraising efforts.
