This past Friday
was my final day
as the Pastoral
Assistant for
St. Anne Catholic
Church. As I pack
my old files and fill
boxes with things
I’ve accumulated over the past 17 years, I can’t help but
feel a wealth of emotions: sad yet hopeful, wistful yet
joyful, anxious yet excited, but above all, I feel thankful.
Thankful for the many people who helped me along my
path and shared their gifts with me. There is no way I can
adequately thank all those who have worked with me,
helped me and shaped me, but there are several I must
call by name.
First I want to thank God. I have never felt adequate or
deserving of the opportunity to work for the Church, but
I have never been able to say no to God.
I want to thank Fr. Schreck for inviting me to join the
parish staff. Thank you to Fr. McCarthy, Fr. Jake,
Fr. Martin, and all of the many priests I have had the
privilege of working with throughout the years. I’ve learned
so much and grown in so many ways through the example
and guidance of these good men of faith.
To the wonderful people I have worked with in the parish
office throughout the years - Bernadette Coker, Tonya
Seguin, Anne Dawahare, Frank Sacramo, Donna
Tomayko, Brian Guillot, Jennifer Sillitto, Kimberly Kaup,
Jeanie Prather, Rhonda Clippinger, Cheryl Singleton,
Selena Kirkland, Kelly Tolman, and Lynn Beck: I cannot
thank you enough for your love, support and patience over
the years.
And to all of the people I’ve worked with in the many
ministries and programs in the parish, especially those
involved in the Stewardship Council, Parish Council,
ministry leaders, those involved in the Covenant Program,
the Knights of Columbus, CCW, Sr. Margaret and Sr. Pat:
so much has happened in our parish, and continues to
happen, because of your dedication, service, love and
diligence.
One thing I’ve heard and have always believed: you
cannot out-give God. Working here at this wonderful
parish with so many amazing people, is living proof of
that. You have been God’s gift in my life. And I thank you
and I thank God for that gift. God bless you.
With much love and gratitude,
Margo Truett

St. Anne-Pacelli is proud to help support the Ronald
McDonald House Charities of West GA, Inc. by
collecting the little tabs you pull to open soda, soup or
other aluminum cans. The funds generated from
recycling these aluminum gems help offset the House's
expenses. Collecting tabs can be an easy and fun
project! If you’d like to help, please bring your collected
