SECTION ONE: PROOFING MESSAGES
1.0 Introduction
This document contains detailed information for all payment proofing messages for the Title
IV-E Abstract Report, which contains the follow proofing tabs:
Payment Proofing – displays non-reimbursable payments with error messages
indicating the reason a IV-E Claim cannot be created and payments claimed on the
selected report with warning messages identifying potentially incorrect information
and situations which may cause future payments to be non-reimbursable.
Claimed Payment Proofing - displays payments with IV-E Claims with error messages
indicating the reason the payment is no longer reimbursable.
Child Count Proofing - displays payments with error messages indicating the reason
the payment cannot be included in the Child Counts and payments counted on the
selected report with warning messages identifying potentially incorrect information.
Child Count Proofing and Claimed Proofing use a subset of the messages used for Payment
Proofing. The Standard Criteria for Proofing is different for each type of proofing.

1.1.1 Standard Criteria for Payment Proofing
Listed below is the standard criteria for payment proofing. Payment proofing displays for
payments that meet these criteria along with the error conditions defined for the proofing
message. A payment can have multiple proofing messages.
Exceptions for messages that ignore one or more standard criteria are noted in the “Error
Condition” section of the message. For example, message #107, Estimated DOB, overrides
the standard criteria that the Person has an Actual DOB.
