The year 1976 saw the birth of a luminousstar of learning on the educationalhorizon. The star was to later blaze a trailacross the Indian skies guiding scores ofstudents to scale the heights of success intheir careers, professions and enterprises.Today, the beacon stands firm on massivepillars, having stamped indelible imprintson the glorious academic traditions ofIndia.

This is the story of PRATHAPFOUNDATION OF EDUCATION ANDTRAINING, the brainchild of the greatvisionary Dr. G.P.C. Nayar, who wantedto redefine educational standards in Indiaby shaping it as awindow to the emergingmarket driven global economy.

Prathap Foundation of Educationand Training started its first academicinstitution, the School of Communicationand Management Studies (SCMS) in1976, which in later years earned fameand glory as a top business school. Itwas rechristened as SCMS COCHINSCHOOL OFBUSINESSin the year 2013.The Foundation went on establishinginstitutions to offer professional educationin engineering, technology, management, hospitality, animation, biotech research, socio economic research and otherprofessional areaswith thecoreconcept ofquality and excellence in anything it does.Together, these institutions constituteSCMS GROUP OF EDUCATIONALINSTITUTIONS.
