SSC 2016 Training Exercise #2: Andrew Storton & Matt Rafala’s Finishing and Street Soccer! Create 3 groups of players. Rotate the group 3 times on the 8 to 12 minute mark. Goalkeeper(s) are shot stopping. Encouraged GKs to see 5 or 6 shots where they make a true effort to makes saves and then rotate to a 2 nd keeper or off to the side for footwork, etc. Rest for a 30 seconds to a minute and hope back in goal. They will see a lot of shots, so make sure their techniques and energy is productive. Prefect for 1 goal & the WWIS space or a half field at NLHS. Please see above for details. The wing play combination can be endless with give and goes, overlaps, takeovers and third man running with an addition of another lineuse your creativity! The street soccer can be everything from a fun game you play a numbers up attacking game to defensive pressure-cover training. Good coaches are good thieves – enjoy and spin your own touch into the exercise!
