SRS (Scoring Rating System) is...

a modern, flexible system allowing for the automatic and manual analysis

of many types of financial transactions. Its wide application can be found useful

for analyzing of new transactions, as well analyzing of re-negotiated transactions.

Its composition allows for analyzing of various types of transactions, and at every

point in their “lifetime”. A company operating with the use of the SRS system

holds full control over the implemented analysis algorithm. Every component of

the analysis may be subject to configuration. The system may be supplied with

any type of data from LEO/FK/TIGER, and data may be entered by the end user

as well. Entering data from external sources is possible as well, as an example

data from BIK or KRD.

Certainty…

of the algorithm used to calculate analyses in the SRS system is

guaranteed at the level of a

module end user. The user

chooses the type of analysis,

selects the transaction to be

analyzed, and is provided with a

fill-in-blanks module to edit. Algorithm remains

unchangeable at the time of performing the

analysis. Risk of unwanted change to the algorithm

and unauthorized changes to

the spreadsheet is eliminated.

In the case when analysis is

performed with the use of the

webDFE, module performance

is fully automatic.

Flexibility…

of our solution comes

out from the application of Excel spreadsheet used in definition of algorithm and required fields.

Calculator algorithm can be built in the SRS system. It is also possible to build it directly in the MS

Excel application. Spreadsheets are then imported to the system and saved in the database as a so

called calculating engine of the decision making tree. All calculations are then performed in

accordance with rules set forth in a decision making tree. At the time of performing of the

calculations, the system utilizes its own spreadsheet calculation mechanism. MS Excel is not

required to work of the SRS system.

UNIVERSAL analyses may be created for webDFE, TIGER, all transaction types, all agreements, applications, loans, credit lines, leases, contracts, operational leasing, financial leasing, etc.

Repetition...

of the calculations is

a key issue when

performing analyses in the

SRS system. When

analyses are created with

the use of calculation

spreadsheets, there is no

guarantee of conjunction

of the used algorithm,

because every following

spreadsheet is a copy of

the previous one, and

therefore is subject to

possible modifications. In

the SRS for a given type of analysis, saved spreadsheet is a common calculating engine used for all

analyses of that type. In a database, the analysis is represented as a set of incoming data, a

reference to the type of analysis and a set

of calculated indicators. Such approach

guarantees that all analyses of a given

type are being calculated based on the

same algorithm. Repetition of the

calculations is 100% accurate.

Automation...

is a basic factor supporting

improvement, acceleration, and tightening

of the processes. When performing

calculations, the SRS always prepares a

system recommendation. One of the

indicators contained in the calculator

spreadsheet serves a system role.

Depending on the value calculated for that

indicator- the value can be either a 0, 1 or

2- system offers to accept the transaction,

accept under condition, or reject the

transaction. The system recommendation

is every time being saved in the database.

The system end user may decide

otherwise, but the system will save both

recommendations in its database. In

webDFE, based on system

recommendation, action for the workflow

process operation is taken automatically.

Control...

without having access to historical data is very difficult. The SRS saves complete data in its

database that unequivocally identifies performed analysis. Data may be read and verified at any

time. It is possible to accurately analyze decision making process. The format of saved data is very

convenient to use, and it is easy to analyze with

the reporting tools. It allows for the versatile

testing, beginning with portfolio examination,

through index testing and data mining. Creation of

analytical disbursements comparing quality of

portfolio over time and in relation to existing

contracts comes down to setting to work relatively

simple CrystalReports.

Speed...

of analysis in today’s demanding market is often a deciding factor that leads to a successful

acquisition of a new customer contract. The entire analysis when using the SRS takes only a few

seconds. Simultaneously application of a very convenient and simple user’s interface minimizes the

amount of time needed for data entry required by the system. In addition to the above, automation

of data retrieval from the database cuts down the amount of time spent on generation of analyses.

In practical application, the SRS systems gives a response to the vendor within just a few seconds

from the time a query is sent to the central

database. Also the speed of access to previously

generated and stored analyses is tremendous.

Analyses for the LEO contracts and transactions in

the webDFE are accessible directly from the user’s

interface level.

Security...

of the analytical application is defined on

multiple planes. On one side, the application must

support decision making and a credit risk judgment.

On the other side, the application must maximize

the productivity of the analytical department. The

application ought to be easy and convenient to use,

at the same time controlling and protecting data

from the unauthorized use while storing the history

of changes. We have decided to put a great deal of

importance for these factors while preparing to

design the SRS system. Our programmers have

created a system that we consider safe by any

means

Exemplary printout of the analysis.

Standards...

in financial institutions must be complied with special care. The solution offered by the SRS

system allows for an immediate implementation of the algorithms utilized so far by the company.

The implementation is often possible after inputting a simple modification to the existing analytical

spreadsheet working in the SRS

system. That allows for

preservation of the existing

analytical standards, while

allowing for migration several

levels up in technological

advancement. Another issue is the

implementation of the

international analytical standards,

where the typical example is the

implementation of the New Capital

Agreement (Basel II) developed

by the Basel Committee. The SRS

system along with the

functionality of the financial

reporting function for the

contractor indexing of LEO/TIGER, allows for

almost immediate analysis generation that

will comply with industry standards

recommendations in regards to data

storage, as well as performed calculations .

Implementation...

of the SRS system is very simple from the technological point of view. Implementation

consists of the installation and activation of the module, definition of the analysis type, loading of

the spreadsheet calculation formula, and finally training of the end users. Our experience proved

that the major part of implementation work takes on MS Excel spreadsheet creation.
