SRP data shows that in 2018, the number of products issued in the Apac region grew by nearly one-third over 2017, because of advances in technology and increasing interest from investors keen to channel widespread market volatility.

As such, many of the sessions at SRP’s conference highlight the key role technology plays in the Singapore market.

Listen to some of the key players in the structured products industry discuss the role regtech plays in shaping the market, debate how platforms are changing the delivery of standard products, and assess how digitalisation is impacting businesses and distribution models.

SRP is also introducing a ‘Battle of the Smart Indices’ session, which will give several index providers the opportunity to showcase for their smart beta indices and how they can help the industry, on a dynamic presentation on stage, followed by a debate.

Eric Sim, founder of the Institute of Life, will deliver a keynote on the importance of branding for the banking industry in the 21st century, and the role technology plays in shaping relationships in the sector.

SRP is also taking the success they had with SRP Talks in London to Singapore. These are a series of Ted talk-style presentations where selected individuals will showcase their product ideas to over 100 attendees. This will be an opportunity for them to demonstrate how technology can solve some of the unique challenges facing the local structured products industry.
