PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
I am delighted to welcome to the portals of Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and
Science for Women, one of the finest Institution of higher education for Women.
With more than 26 years of rich academic heritage, our college has enriched the
lives of thousands of women by enabling them to realize their innate potential.
According to GER, higher education is 41% in Tamil Nadu and 21% all over
India, but employment is still a huge challenge. Since the teenagers are changing
to screenagers, the teachers should adapt themselves as digital immigrants. They
play a major role in facilitating and engaging the students of this digital era by the
usage of ICT tools and improving the employability skills among students. The
recent innovations in Technology have created numerous platforms to utilize
various ICT tools in enhancing teaching learning process. As an academician one
should be aware of technology revolving around current educational system.
In the light of all the above, this seminar will focus on ICT tools for improving the
quality of teaching learning process. At the outset, I congratulate the Internal
Quality Assurance Cell for organizing NAAC Sponsored Two day National
Seminar on “The Promise of ICT Usage for Quality Improvement in Higher
