1. Monetization

The dynamism of globalization actually fuels these interests as SRI JOYDIP ASHRAM mirrors the desire of people around the world to share their own experiences and discover new and innovative ways to live their lives with there platforms like World Yoga Festival , Global Yoga Week , Million Mind Meditation , Million Mind Transformation , Global Family Day.

Page 11: SRI JOYDIP ASHRAM PROFILE...and consumer engagement. According to The New York Times, "Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability may be the biggest market you never heard of, encompassing

There are many examples of this growing marketplace: Yoga has grown from 4 million practitioners in 1990 to over 28 million practitioners. Yoga Journal reports increases of up to 35% in its national advertising. Mainstream corporations such as Target, Ford, General Mills, and Johnson & Johnson make up Yoga Journal’s advertising base as these companies understand that the magazine delivers a “highly prized and targeted audience”.

Aburdene, in Megatrends 2010, states: “The quest for spirituality is the greatest megatrend of our era. Ten million American adults say they meditate, twice as many as a decade ago. Spiritual Cinema Circle has a membership of tens of thousands of subscribers who pay $21.00/month (plus shipping) to receive each month a DVD of spiritual films. Over the last five-year period, spiritual and religious books outpaced sales in all other categories, surging from $1.69 billion to $2.24 billion. And, Maureen Fan of The Washington Post reports on July 24, 2007 that Confucius Is Making a Comeback In Money-Driven Modern China: State-supported commemorations of Confucius have become more common, and the number of people studying his works has increased. A new best-selling book and TV program based on the sage's teachings have made Confucianism easy for the masses to digest.

Our venture will make money capitalizing on the greatest megatrend of the era “ quest for spirituality”, when the outreach of our spiritual education program in the form Wisdom Course and Wisdom Retreats

Page 12: SRI JOYDIP ASHRAM PROFILE...and consumer engagement. According to The New York Times, "Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability may be the biggest market you never heard of, encompassing

would scale to 10 million on the next 5-6 years, which could take Sri Joydip’s teaching and also the products and services related to Sri Joydip’s teachings on Lifestyle of Health and Sustainability market to masses and bring a revenue of 25 crores in the next 5 years with an investment of nearly 10 crores.

2. Unique Selling Proposition

SRI JOYDIP ASHRAM’s market position and advantage of it , mirrors the blue ocean strategy as formulated in the seminal book: Blue Ocean Strategy: How to Create Uncontested Market Space and Make the Competition Irrelevant. Blue oceans are symbolized by untapped market space, demand creation, and highly profitable growth opportunities. Blue ocean strategy arises from business insights into how a new trend will change value to the customer and impact the company’s business model. These trends must be decisive to the business, they must be irreversible, and they must have a clear trajectory. Thus, the barrier to entry will be SRI JOYDIP ASHRAM’s unique concept and marketplace leadership in a blue ocean. Once positioned, it will be difficult to construct a company with the combination of goods and services appealing to a wide cross-section of the global population. As SRI JOYDIP ASHRAM unique strategy integrates seemingly disparate elements into a cohesivewhole, continues to expand its level and range of product and service offerings, maintains agile and flexible operations, and keeps its ears and eyes open to global, grass-roots trends, the barrier to entry will be high. Chris Zook, in his 2007 book Unstoppable: Finding Hidden Assets to Renew the Core and Fuel Profitable Growth refers to: “the curse of the distant follower” – the slim chance companies have of overtaking market leaders once they fall behind. The Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability market segment is primed for a unique, blue ocean approach that encompasses the concept of an spiritual education/media company offering a wide range of products and services. The Organisation’s mail global concept rivals any presently existing brand,

Page 13: SRI JOYDIP ASHRAM PROFILE...and consumer engagement. According to The New York Times, "Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability may be the biggest market you never heard of, encompassing

and its revenue streams are not dependent on taking business from existing companies.

3. Outreach

We presently plan to reach out by creating Collaborative Events like we have created – World Yoga Festival with International Yoga and Sports Foundation , Global Yoga Week and also Intention 2014 with UN Global Compact . These way we feel we can reach more people by collaborating with other organization and building an ecosystem which could create our competitive advantage.
