Menengai, Kenya (AfDB)
- Promoting Sustainable Business Models for Clean Cookstoves in Honduras (ADB)
CIF has entered into a learning partnership with the Global Delivery Initiative (GDI) as part of an effort to showcase CIF project-level results and lessons learned.
GDI is a collaborative effort to create a collective evidence of delivery know-how.
These case study include delivery challenges and solutions for these projects
and also outlines some of the valuable lessons learned during implementation.

SREP Pilot Countries Meeting
1. Meeting took place September 18-20, 2018 in Kigali, Rwanda. Hosted by the Government of Rwanda
2. Discussions and knowledge sharing revolved around four themes:
• Towards universal energy access: achievements, challenges & opportunities
• Multi-Tier Access Framework for measuring energy access
• Emerging financing instruments, business and delivery models
• Monitoring, evaluation, and learning
• Design & Implementation of Gender-Responsive Operations in Energy Access
Art of Knowledge Exchange: A Results-Focused Planning Guide for Climate Change Practitioners
• ESMAP and CIF mini-grids action learning events “Upscaling mini grids for low cost and timely access to electricity” (Kenya, Myanmar, Nigeria)
“The main highlights [of the action learning events] were the emerging financing instrument for mini-grids, gender, and other social concerns and productive use of energy initiatives. The most useful experience has been the networking benefits and the diversity of approaches by the various countries in delivering mini-grid electrification.”
