JOURNEY OF IIC ESTABLISHED AT THE INSTITUTE
• Establishment of IIC @ SREC campus in August 2018 with one star rating.
• Secured 4 star rating in MHRD –IIC 1.0 during November 2019
• One of the shortlisted POC teams from the state of Tamilnadu for international exposure visit to Canada and South Korea.
• Secured 5 star rating in MHRD –IIC 2.0 during October 2020.

PRESIDENT
• Dr.N.R.Alamelu, Principal - Nominating the Faculty representative, leading the IIC council and coordinate with MHRD innovation cell for all the IIC activities in the institute.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CELL
The Institute has received grant to a tune of Rs. 4 Lakhs for setting up the Entrepreneurship Development Cell during the year 2012- 2014. Motivates and fosters opportunity for the budding Engineers to become an Entrepreneur.
Provides guidance and supports to enrich the Business Ideas of Students. Each department has EDC Coordinators who are mentoring the students with EDC cell of IIC. Conducting series of events such as SREC Bazaar, Campus Venture, Panel Discussions, E
talks, Business workshops, DST NIMAT Sponsored programs and mentoring sessions… Dedicated Space 22.94 sq m. available for EDC in terms of - Modular tables, Multifunctional printer connected with LAN.
SREC COIN- (PRE INCUBATION CENTRE)
Established in 2015. It is opened 24*7 for the students to work on with their innovative ideas into a working
model and supported with all technical and mentoring facilities. Facilities includes high configuration PCs, 3D Printer, Jetson Nvidia Kit, BCI Kit, IoT kits, soldering stations, Machine vision Kits, Robotics training Kits, Sensors for Different applications, etc..

JOURNEY @ INNOVATION CENTRE
AI STUDENTS CLUB
Equip the students with the ability and skills to analyze, design and develop computer systems and their applications.
The focus will be on development and strengthening systems thinking, problem solving, analysis, design, research, team work and readiness for lifelong learning in areas of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Applications in Healthcare and Smart Living, Speech Recognition and Natural Language Processing (NLP), Cyber
Forensics, Bio-Informatics and Genomics, Smart Vehicles, Cancer Cell Detection and Drug Discovery. In this regard, we are into lead zonal partners of LeadingIndia.ai project – an initiative by Bennett University, Greater Noida in joint ventures with Microsoft, Google, Amazon,
NVIDIA. This benefits students to earn their internships in Bennett University where they are given an excellent opportunity to work in NVIDIA Super Computing Labs, MISHA lab, Amazon Intelligent Labs.
IPR CELL
IPR cell in the college focus on the promotion of awareness for IPR filing among students and faculty. various activities are conducted throughout the year to promote IPR filing. It includes Workshop, Hands on session for Search Tools, Guest lecture and guiding the patent filing process.

• Mentor of Change is an India strategic nation building initiative to engage leaders
who can guide and mentor students in 5000+ Atal Tinkering Labs that Atal Innovation Mission has established in various schools.54 mentors have been
shortlisted out of 5000+ mentors across the nation as Regional Mentor of Change(RMOC)by AIM, NITI Aayog, Government of India tohandhold the other Mentor of Change and Regional Teacher of Change. Mrs.I.AbinayaAssistant
Professor is one among the 54 selected Regional Mentor of Change across India.
• IEEE WIE PBL School Camp was organized collaboratively by IEEE WIE Madras
Section AG, WIE Gujarat Section AG, WIE UP Section AG & WIE Bombay Section AG in association with Junior Einstein Track (IEEE YESIST12) and IEEE TryEngineering. Upon the guidance of Mrs.Abinaya the students developed a website for motivating Citizens for using Public Transportation and its management.The team
bagged the second runner up and was awarded prizes. Mrs.Abinaya received the mentor of appreciation

IIC FACULTY: SRIVIDHYASAKTHI.
• Invited and delivered a guest lecture on “OXYGEN CONSERVATION DEVICE” to
SRISTI Summer School on Open Inclusive Innovations. The participants are UG & PG students from IIT, NIT, and other universities in India. Organized by SRISTI, GYTI, Honeybee Network, National Innovation Foundation (NIF), CSIR, and GIAN.
• Invited and discussed COVID’19 related issues and engineering solutions for the
same on ” Talk on Open Source Inclusive Innovations for Saving Life OSSIS with Prof. Anil Gupta”-30.04.2021. Selected as team leader for oxygen concentrator and analyzer team.

• Guinness world record participation Certificate of achievement for the successful completion of “The Guinness world record event-most users to take online computer

MHRD-IIC on “Design Thinking,Critical Thinking/Product Design"” during the year 2021. This institution has put in lots of efforts to make students undergo various workshops, seminars and
exposure to various platforms to convert their ideas into product. I appreciate the MHRD-IIC
