What does the LinTronic RS232 SpyWare do ?

What is the purpose of the Lintronic RS232 SpyWare ?

The LinTronic RS232 SpyWare reads the commands going from a Controller to a System andreads the reply going from the System to the Controller.

A Controller could for example be a computer, a PLC, a Crestron/AMX/Advantage controller, aBeoVision TV, a BeoSystem, etc.

A System could be a light system like for example Lutron, Luxom, Clipsal, Dynalite, etc. or aprojector/TV, a relay card, an audio/video switch, etc. etc.

The purpose is to learn/read the commands from the controller (and the feedback from the system- if any feedback is required) - and use these commands as triggers in a command converter -allowing you to use a different System than required by the Controller.

Example:Your Controller is designed to control a specific Samsung device (for example a projector) but youwant to use a different projector - or maybe an RS232 controlled TV - or you want to use theprojector commands to control your light system, or your audio/video devices, etc.

We copy/read the existing commands coming from the controller (in this example Samsungprojector commands) - and we convert them into Panasonic TV commands - or Lutron lightcommands - or .... or ..... or ..... the possibilites are endless.

This allows installers to sell/install a different System which offer other features or is better for theircustomers installation, economy, etc.

ComPort A is setup in the Configurators main windows "Computers Comport" tab.

Choose the expected Baudrate, Parity, DataBits and StopBits.

Then select the required Comport number.Your computer will show (ignore this:

If you want to learn what to expect by the SpyWare, then

Connect a TT455-RT-238 or a RELAY 208 to your computer

Ensure you have connection with the -238/208

Open SpyWare and click main windows Connect

Watch outgoing communication data as blue, incoming as red.

ComPort B automatically works on the same settings as ComPort A (baudrate, etc.)

The listed Port numbers are taken from the computers device manager, and the comportalreasy used by ComPort A i automatically ignored.Please observe that comports can also be virtual comports for USB, Bluetooth devices,etc.

Select the wanted comportnumber and click Open.

SpyWare is now ready to copy commands in both directions.

Note: Comport B cannot be opened without a valid SpyWare LicenseKey. See next page.

Using LinTronic SpyWare to copy the required commands from your Controller and System, istime-saving for your project. Furthermore we offer a "quo pro quo" cooperation - "I show youmine and you show me yours":

If we already have the Controller commands and the commands you need for controllingyour alternative product (System) then you do not need the LicenseKey.

If we do not have the required commands, but you we can get them in cooperation byspying on a Controller/System, and you agree that LinTronic can have a copy of thecommands, then we offer you a free of charge LicenseKey - and we make the requiredsoftware for the LinTronic Command Converter free of charge (if you need one).

If you want to freely use the SpyWare without a mutual cooperation with LinTronic, thenyou must buy a SpyWare LicenseKey. A SpyWare LicenSeKey covers all future updates.
