architecture and urban design capabilities.

We provide a full range of planning services from delivering initial feasibility studies to submission of planning applications

and appeals; services which are offered as individual planning solutions or as part of a fully integrated package in

conjunction with other specialist services.

Through close working relationships with the local planning authorities we aim to offer clients a professional, creative and

efficient service which, in addition to extensive pre-application consultations and knowledge of planning matters,

procedures, policies and precedents, ensures projects are able to progress.

As part of our integrated design approach, the practice has the capacity to provide associated technical services and support

on a range of construction issues from relevant Building Regulations, accessibility and the Disability Discrimination Act

(DDA), specification of construction materials, relevant assessment i.e. SAP, BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes; and

Our practice has been involved in projects at the forefront of sustainable construction; recent case study examples

demonstrate our capacity to design buildings that attain the highest level of sustainability, with built projects

providing evidence of our longstanding commitment to reducing the environmental impact of construction.

The recent introduction and changes to legislation, the requirements of BREEAM and the Code for Sustainable

Homes, the availability of government grants for the use of new technologies, in addition to the continuing research

into sustainable construction has ensured there is an obligation as well as an incentive to implement a policy of

‘green thinking from inception to completion.

We recognise that to fully endorse support for sustainable construction there is a need to fully understand the context

of our environment and actively participate in the continuing research into sustainability in the construction industry.

The former principal of one of the largest firms of architectural practices in the Southwest

decided in July 2008 with his wife, to extend their single Storey house within the village of

Feock overlooking the Carrick Roads. The extension to be an energy efficient structure, to be

built within a short period and to a high quality, to a clearly defined agreed brief and budget.

industry obligations and standards set out in guidance provided by the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and the Royal

Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

Sanders Pepper Smith has been approved to the Quality Management System Standards EN ISO 9001:2000. The Quality

Management System is applicable to the provision of architectural, planning and associated technical services, in

addition to the management and administration of projects.

Our practice is protected by Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII) exceeding the industry standards and requirements

of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

services and 3D visualisation & presentation material we are
