• Designed to enhance arts education

• A multi-level program with awards and student recognition given at the local unit, council, state and national levels.

WHAT IS REFLECTIONS?

• Judged on interpretation of the theme, creativity and artistic merit. The entries best fulfilling these 3 criteria progress to the next level.

• At the State level, one entry from each age group in each arts area is sent to National PTA

• Despite the “contest” format, the emphasis is one children having the chance to create an original work of art, experimenting with different ways of expressing themselves, and feeling good about their work, rather than just winning.
