New Collection
Spring-Summer2015
Crafted with Conscience
We like to make clothes moved by beauty. Harmonies and disharmonies or unusualness and deffects often make us come up with aesthetically pleasant garments. We design timeless clothes, that last for years not for seasons, and become life-long valuable pieces, that adopt their own story with years.
Driven by our commitment to sustainability, we create and develop our ideas aware of our natural and human environment. Thus, we only use sustainable materials, such as organic cotton and wool, recycled fabrics or innovative eco-friendly materials. All our production is locally-made, and some of our garments are produced in social integration workshops.
CUS is a project by Adriana Zalacain who currenty lives and works in Barcelona.

Our production process is enviromentally and socially friendly all round. Here we tell you how, where and by whom our clothes are made.
SUSTAINABLE FABRICSWe exclusively source enviromentally friendly fabrics. Throughout our collections we use the following types of fabrics:
OrganicDuring the fiber production process of organic fabrics, no artificial pesticides or fertilizers are used. Organic cotton farming keeps the soil clean. Organic wool comes from naturally grown and fed sheep.
RecycledRecycled fabrics are recovered from cut-offs that otherwhise would be wasted during the spinning, weaving and cutting process. By recycling wastes, landfill space is preserved and this reduces the amount of water, energy and pesticides that normally go into conventional fabric production.
Xisqueta woolThrough the production of this wool, that comes from Xisqueta sheep (original form the Pyrenees), many rural areas are being revitalized and old local craftmanship is being rescued and inserted back into the market. Using Xisqueta wool makes “local being logical”: we source raw materials that are local, treated locally and produced within a certain radius by local weavers.
Innovative eco-friendlyThe sources of these fabrics are based on a wide variety of plants, proteins and “recycled garbage”, for example plastic bottles and coffee-grinds.
SOCIAL AND LOCAL PRODUCTIONWe care about the social circumstances of the people who make our garments. All our collections are produced locally, and some garments are produced in workshops that work for the integration of people at social risk. They mostly attend women coming from prisons and social services. The production process takes a little longer than usuall, but the result is a high quality workmanship, with excellent finishes and details. Our values go hand in hand with high quality local-made production.
THINGS WE THINK ABOUTWe belive that our clients do care about the provenance of the products they buy, and by knowing about all its production process, they therefore create an important connection to it. There is a way of producing clothes where design and high quality local-made production, go side by side with strong sustainable values.
