We’re a small, independent art school and charity, offering a unique approach to art education in the heart of London. Whether you are a beginner, or want to develop your artistic skills in your spare time, we can offer you the best quality art tuition to support your development. Our classes are designed to fit in with your schedule and to be both fun and challenging in equal measures. We believe the best way to learn is from inspiring experts, so our classes are all taught by highly skilled, practicing artists, many of them pre-eminent in their fields. We keep our class sizes small, so that everyone gets a hands on experience and a sense of the wonderful community at The Art Academy.

Who can book Open Access Sessions?Competent printmakers need to provide evidence of their knowledge and good studio practice. Novice printmakers must have completed a taster and a specialist printmaking course. There are four places available for each session.

Students will be able to approach the human figure in any way they please and do as many drawings or paintings as they care to pursue with as much or as little instruction as they like. YOUNG ARTISTS

We run exciting and fun courses for Young Artists , over the age of 12, throughout the year with bumper programmes including Graphic Novels and Animation Channels in the Summer and Easter holidays. Our Saturday classes this term offer a high level of art tuition, including drawing workshops, contemporary painting, specialist sculpture techniques, and using experimental media. This course is ideal for those studying a range of arts based subjects, or wanting to advance their artistic skills and creative confidence. But even if Art isn’t their favourite subject, we would argue stretching creativity is an important part of young adults development.
