Spring is almost here! Only 3 months of school left! We worked hard building up those writing muscles and did our best on the FSA Writing test. Now it’s time to prove what we know about everything else. In April, we will be reviewing and concentrating on all the things we as fourth-graders have learned. At the end of April, we have our cumulative tests, the FSA’s. This is a chance to really show-off what we know and put all that hard work on display! Homework and Classwork What to expect in March and April: We will begin decimals and measurements in math. After that, we will spend a few weeks reviewing all of what we have learned this year. This will be an intense review, but will also be a lot of fun! There will be Spring Newsletter Mrs. Gallant’s Class March 6, 2017 Dates to Remember Mar. 11 – PI Competition at Pensacola High School. Spring is almost here!Only 3 months of school left!

We worked hard building up those writing muscles and did our best on the FSA Writing test. Now it’s time to prove what we know about everything else. In April, we will be reviewing and concentrating on all the

things we as fourth-graders have learned. At the end of April, we have our cumulative tests, the FSA’s. This is a chance to really show-off what we know and put all that hard work on display!

Homework and ClassworkWhat to expect in March and April:

We will begin decimals and measurements in math. After that, we will spend a few weeks reviewing all of what we have learned this year. This will be an intense review, but will also be a lot of fun! There will be games and competitions. This is the best time to focus on and really sharpen your strengths and improve weaknesses. If you need more practice

on something, speak up!

This is the perfect time to get it right. In Language Arts, we will be working with all sorts of genres including both prose and poetry! We will compare and contract within a text and between two different passages. We will explore facts vs. opinions, and why authors do what they do (author’s purpose/inferences). Keep Calm and Read On!
