The Spring Convocation brought together the College commu-nity in a series of activities that included the President’s State of the College Address; CELT workshops (above and left); the Open Educational Resources Showcase; and New Adjunct Ori-entation (below). At the State of the College address, President Mark McCormick reflected on the achievements of the fall, and shared his vision for the spring semester.“I urge us to remember why we chose to work at Middlesex County College and resolve to redouble our efforts to ensure that every student succeeds,” he said.

The MCC Women’s Bas-ketball Team hosted Pink Night on January 23 in a match against Ocean County College. Both teams sported special pink warm-up T-shirts to help raise awareness about breast cancer. All other Blue Colt teams were in attendance in support of the event.
Pink NightFunds raised from a bake sale were used by the Association of MCC Nurs-ing Students to create care packages for area women undergoing chemotherapy. Both the Women’s and Men’s Teams won: 94-91 and 91-80, respectively. Ibn Lynn (#13) and Kiarah Turner (#15) are leading their teams in scoring.
