I’m excited to share that this Catalogue is different than anything we’ve done before! We’ve taken my Top 10 favourite styles and paired them with different products that work together to provide fun,

functional and fabulous solution sets! Hopefully these solution sets will help you find everything you need to stay organized and stylish all year long!

This spring also marks the beginning of a very special year for us – it’s our 10th anniversary! We’re celebrating the first days of Thirty-One Gifts, when this business was formed in my basement with the goal of empowering women by giving them a chance to own their own business. I’m constantly amazed to hear the stories of how many people have changed their lives for the better through Thirty-One Gifts. The five Consultants featured throughout this Catalogue are just a few examples of how this has truly been a decade of celebrating, encouraging and rewarding.

Before joining Thirty-One Gifts, I was not a direct sales person. I didn’t go to parties or host parties, and selling is not something I ever thought I’d do. But Thirty-One Gifts is such a positive company – rewarding and celebrating women is an important part of our mission – and that really sets us apart from other companies. You get rewarded just for doing something fun that you love to do.

As time has gone by, I’ve been able to accomplish most of my personal goals, like being available for my children and contributing to the family financially. Now the most rewarding part is being able to share Thirty-One Gifts with other women and see how it can change their lives. It’s exciting to see what’s next for them, and to be able to help them reach their dreams.

This is a business, and as a Consultant you are your own business owner, but you’re not in business alone – you get so much support from your Director and team. I always tell people we’re not just a company – we’re more like one big family.

There are two things I love about being with Thirty-One Gifts. The first is flexibility – I can work when I want to and be with family when I want to. I also love being directly responsible for what I get out of my business. When the economy took a turn for the worse it meant our family had to give up some of the extras in life. But my business has allowed us to replace our savings and add to our retirement fund, all while doing the fun things we love.

I’ve had many different goals with Thirty-One Gifts, but recently I’ve gotten the most joy from helping the women on my team. Those girls are why I am where I am today, so it feels great to support them and help them achieve their goals.

I didn’t realize the incredible blessing God was handing me.When I joined Thirty-One Gifts my plan was to host a few parties for friends and then quit. Shortly after joining, my son was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome, and our family was in need of costly prescriptions and therapy – plus an eminent layoff was on the horizon.

That’s when I started devoting more of myself to my business. I still remember when my first substantial paycheque came in – what a difference being intentional made!

Before Thirty-One Gifts I spent about 10 years teaching. I really loved it, but at times it felt like I was spending more time with other people’s children than my own. Now I’m still able to be a teacher for the women on my team and make a great income while always being there for my children.

I truly appreciate the flexibility Thirty-One Gifts offers. It has allowed me to be more present with my family and provide for our needs and wants!

STATEMENT OF TYPICAL PARTICIPANT EARNINGS (SOTPE) - 2012The primary source of income of a Typical Participant in the compensation plan (the “Plan”) of Thirty-One Gifts Canada Inc. (“Thirty-One”) is from compensation for the service of arranging for the sale of products. Personal earnings will vary. A Participant in the plan is defined as an Independent Consultant who actively engages in the activities necessary to realize the benefits of the Plan (i.e. earning cheques in at least four of twelve months). Typical Participant means a Participant engaged in the Plan for at least one year. A Typical Participant in the Plan earns between Cdn $58 and $1,978 annually.

Please note that these earnings are estimates and have been derived from the earnings experience Thirty-One’s U.S. parent company, which operates a similar and comparable compensation plan, selling comparable products in the United States. These earnings estimates will be reviewed after 6 months of operation of the Canadian Plan, and updated at that time with compensation actually received by typical participants in the Canadian Plan. After one year, this Statement of Typical Participant’s Earnings will be updated again, and then updated annually thereafter.
