  • Variety Overview ROCKSTARP is an exceptionally high-yielding, mid-slow maturing AH and AHN variety. It has a similar maturity to MAGENTAP. ROCKSTARP provides exceptional yields and sets a new yield benchmark for this maturity class. It offers good yellow spot (MRMS), stripe and stem rust (RMR) resistance, an advantage in wheat on wheat rotations. ROCKSTARP is well suited to earlier sowing opportunities, performing best in longer growing seasons. ROCKSTARP also performs well when germination is delayed. ROCKSTARP’s AHN classification is advantageous in situations where potential pricing premiums and segregations are available. It has a good grain size, good test weight and has a moderate plant height, similar to MACEP.ROCKSTARP is available for planting from local resellers and Seedclub members and is farmer to farmer trade approved.

Variety Overview VIXENP is a high yielding quick-mid maturing AH and AHN wheat. It offers a significant yield advantage compared to MACEP (approx. 7%*), based on long-term main season NVT results*. Long-term NVT results also indicate yields are similar to SCEPTERP on average. However, VIXENP is higher yielding in less than 2t/ha yield environments but also has the flexibility to perform well in soft finishes. VIXENP’s quick-mid maturity is ideally suited to mid-May and onwards sowing. In addition to VIXENP’s yield performance, it offers good stripe (MRMS) and stem (MRMS) rust resistance and yellow spot resistance. VIXENP’s AHN classification is advantageous in situations where potential pricing premiums and segregations are available.VIXENP has strong physical grain characteristics, including a good grain size and hectolitre weight. • Variety Overview KINSEIP is a slow maturing ANW and is suited to longer growing season environments where it can be sown from late April to early May. It has a later maturity than CALINGIRIP and is similar to YITPIP, providing a varietal opportunity to vary flowering times during critical spring stress periods. KINSEIP is not as photoperiod sensitive as YITPIP, however, it has a similar flowering time across a broad range of environments. In longer growing season environments, where the variety is recommended, KINSEIP has consistently demonstrated a 10% yield advantage, on average, when compared to YITPIP. KINSEIP has good stripe rust (MRMS) and useful yellow spot (MS) resistance. It also has good physical grain characteristics and provides a general udon quality improvement compared to CALINGIRIP and NINJAP.

Variety Overview NINJAP is WA’s ANW yield benchmark. NINJAP’s high yield potential, coupled

with potential noodle premiums, provides growers with a profitable varietal

alternative. NINJAP is a mid-maturing ANW with its best performance observed

with May sowings. NINJAP has a useful disease resistance package, including

good yellow spot resistance (MRMS) and wheat nodorum blotch (MRMS)

providing an effective level of resistance for wheat on wheat rotations. It

has useful stripe rust resistance (MS) although stem (SVS) and leaf rust (S)

will need to be proactively managed when disease pressure is present. The

variety also has good physical grain qualities, with good grain size (lower

screenings risk) and hectolitre weight. NINJAP’s black point resistance is also

    an advantage (MRMS).

    IGB1908IGB1967

Variety Overview A new wave of IMI tolerant barleys! These new IMI barleys are high yielding, quick-mid maturing lines. They are agronomically similar to COMPASSP and are ideally suited to lighter soils and medium-low rainfall environments. These lines have a similar yield potential to COMPASSP, based on preliminary InterGrain yield trials. They offer an effective disease resistance profile including CCN resistance and useful levels of spot form net blotch resistance. The lines have excellent grain size, and a similar lodging tolerance and head loss risk to COMPASSP. Further quality testing is required to make an assessment on potential malting quality.

One line will be available for planting as a feed variety in 2021.

  • HEIGHT: TALL

IMI TOLERANT: SENTRY® REGISTRATION SUBMITTED TO APVMA

    HAY OAT VIGOUR: HIGH

    OA

    TS

Variety Overview KINGBALEP is a world first IMI tolerant oaten hay variety.

KINGBALEP is a mid-maturing IMI tolerant oaten hay variety with improved

tolerance to soil residual imidazolinone herbicides. It is an ideal variety for

use where there are IMI residue concerns from previous crops.

KINGBALEP is a tall variety with good early vigour and is suitable for planting

in the major hay growing regions of Australia. Preliminary data shows

KINGBALEP has a similar disease and agronomic profile to WINTAROOP and

indicates that it is resistant to CCN although, rust (likely susceptible) will

require proactive management. Yield information is currently limited.

KINGBALEP is a single gene IMI tolerant variety. The original breeding work

was undertaken by Grains Innovation Australia (GIA) and the line is being

commercialised by InterGrain. A Sentry® registration has been submitted to

APVMA for pre-emergent use only, with earliest potential registration for use

in oaten hay production in March 2021.

It is important to note that delays may occur and KINGBALEP may not be

released if a Sentry® registration is not received.

Sentry®, pending successful registration, will be the ONLY imidazolinone

herbicide registered for use on IMI oats.

Seed will be available for planting in 2021 - pending a Sentry® registration.
