1) Self-support or Parental Sponsor: If you choose self-support or parental sponsor as your means of financial resources, you should attach a bank statement showing the capacity to meet a year of educational expenses at KAIST. - Tuition & fees (2017):

2) Government/Organization Scholarship: If you are selected as a government scholarship recipient in your home country, you should attach a certificate or a letter of sponsorship. KAIST may not support KAIST scholarships when the applicants are sponsored more than the living expenses KAIST scholarships provide. Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP) by NIIED is not available in this admission.

3) KAIST Scholarship: If you need financial aid, you can apply for KAIST scholarship by selecting ‘KAIST scholarship’ in the application form. KAIST scholarship recipients will be announced with the admission result. The scholarship amount and conditions are set prior to student enrollment based on the merits of the applicant. The KAIST Scholarship Committee will examine further exemption of tuition and fees every year. KAIST scholarship recipients are generally exempt from paying tuition and fees. A monthly allowance of 300,000 KRW and the National Health Insurance fee are supported by the recipient’s advisor/department.

3.Tworecommendationletters(Form2) Two recommendation letters fromyourprofessorsare required. Letters should be signed and sealedacross thebackof its envelopeby signature of therecommender. Applicantswhoareworkingcangetrecommenda‐tion letters fromtheir supervisors. Supervisorsarenot required to use the letter form provided byKAIST but the letter must be written on companyletterhead showing the company’s full address,telephoneandofficialemailaddressofthereferee. If a recommender is mailing the letter separately,havehim/hermailittotheAdmissionsOfficebythedeadline. Wedonotacceptrecommendationlettersviaemail.

4.Certifiedcopyofdegree/diploma Copiesofbachelor’sdegreeandmaster’sdegree(fordoctoral applicants) certificate from everyinstitutionattendedorattendingarerequired. If degree certificate or degree is not available,submit a certificate of expected graduation or anofficialletterfromtheuniversityindicatingthedateof graduation and the degree which will beconferred.Afteradmission,applicantsmust submitdiploma/degree certificate within 15 days ofenrollmenttotheOfficeofAdmissions.

5.CertifiedcopyofTranscripts Copies of transcript must include a year‐by‐yearrecordof courses fromevery institutionapplicantshaveattendedorareattending. The transcripts should include a statement ofpersonalrankindepartment,ifavailable. If CGPA/maximum score does not appear on thetranscript, please submit a letter of proof certifiedbytheuniversity,ifavailable. Transcriptscanbemailed to theAdmissionsOfficeseparately,butmustarriveintheAdmissionsOfficebythedeadline.

6.Certified copyofEnglishProficiencyTest (EPT)Reports

AllApplicantswhoseofficial/nativelanguageisnotEnglishmustsubmittheEPTreport. English proficiency tests must have been takenwithin twoyearsof theonlineapplicationdeadline(validtestdate:startingfromSeptember21st,2015). Application fees TheapplicationfeeisKRW80,000orUSD80. Payment can be made by credit card or banktransfer. Ifyoupaythefeebybanktransfer,youshouldsendtheremittancereceiptviaemailorfax.Wewillissueyour application number after receipt of yourapplication fee is confirmed. * EPT Exemption requirement 1. Applicants whose official language is English are exempt from submitting the EPT report. (An English Lecture Certificate is required for those who studied in non-native English speaking countries.) 2. Integratedmaster'sanddoctoraldegreeStudents who enter the integrated master's anddoctoral degree program are expected to completetheir doctoral degree. Dormitory KAIST College of Business (KCB) students board attheon‐campusdormitory.Thethreedormbuildings,Pajung, SojungHall andHaejungHall are all locatedwithin 3‐minute walking distance from each otherand approximately 5‐minute walking distance fromthemainbuildingsofthecampus.

KCBstudentsaremainlyassignedinthePajungHall.Thedormroomsaredesignedfordoubleoccupancy.Each person is provided with a desk, a bed and awardrobe.Thebathroomfacilitieswithshowerboothare shared. It costs 160,000KRW (approx. US$160)permonth.

Medical service The Nurse’s office is located on the 2nd floor of theStudent Union Building. You can get medication forminor illness and injuries. There is nominal fee forpurchaseofmedication.

Sports facilities Thereareoutdoor tennisandbasketball courtsnearthedormitories,andanindoorfitnesscenter(gym)islocated on the 1st floor of Building 7 which isconnected to SUPEX building. In addition, a newlybuiltgolfpracticerangeislocatedonthegroundfloorof the Administration building (Building No. 1) andthisfacilityisopentoregisteredmembersonly.

The gym is open 24 hours located on the 1 floor.Lockersandshowerroomsarealsofacilitatedinsidethegym.

1. What is an Apostille? Public documents, such as birth certificates, judgments, patents or notarial attestations of signatures,frequentlyneedtobeusedabroad.However,beforeapublicdocumentcanbeusedinacountryotherthantheonethatissuedit,itsoriginmustoftenbeauthenticated.Thetraditionalmethodforauthenticatingpublicdocuments to be used abroad is called legalization.
