Spring Break March 16 - 22 There will be no classes from March 16-20 because of Spring Break. The last day of classes for Spring I will be Friday, March 6, and final exams will be Monday and Tuesday March 9-10. The first day of Spring II will be Monday, March 23. Pre-Registration ALL current students (including Level 6 students who plan to graduate) must complete the online pre-registration for Spring II. Students can pre-register online at my.unt.edu between Monday, February 23 at 8:00 a.m. and Friday, February 27 at 5 p.m. (week 6). If you need help register- ing online, there is a PowerPoint presentation located on the IELI website. Log in at ieli.unt.edu and it will be under the “Important Resources” menu on the right side. You can also go to the IELI Lab in SYMR 224 for help. If your plans change after you finish registration, you must go to the IELI Main Office, SYMR 204, to update your pre-registration form. If you don’t pay by Feb. 27, you will pay a $25 late fee. Winter Dreams Saturday, Feb 28, 6 p.m. Join IELI to watch the Dallas Symphony Orchestra play. Meet in front of the GAB by 6 p.m. dressed in your nicest clothes. Sign up in 202. Do you need help finding childcare? UNT partners with Camp Fire to help find customized child care solutions for UNT students free of charge. Camp Fire has a database of over 2,000 regulated child care programs and also offers resources for tutoring and summer care. Go to this link for more details: http://www.campfirefw.org/training/child-care-resource-referral/ PALS Sign-up The Peer Assistance and Leadership (PAL) Program is designed to help new students adjust to both the academic and social environments at UNT. In this program, experienced students serve as mentors for new students. Mentors give advice and guidance to new students. You must complete at least 2 terms in IELI and be in Level 3 or above to be a PAL. This is a great opportunity for you to get involved in IELI and be a leader. Share what you know and help a new friend! To be a PAL, pick up an application from Jessalyn in SYMR 202. The LAST day to apply will be Friday, March 6. Come by the IELI lab and we will be happy to show you Cloze Facto- ry and Online Pronunciation Practice, CDLP, and Rhubarb! You can access these resources on your own computer, but feel free to stop by the Lab (SYMR 224) if you need assistance. Smoke-Free Campus UNT is a smoke-free campus. No one will be allowed to smoke on campus, including in buildings, on the sidewalk, and in the parking lots. You are allowed to smoke across from UNT’s campus or in your closed car on campus.

Class Time Request If your IELI class schedule conflicts with your UNT classes, childcare, or on-campus work schedule, you must submit your request and the appropriate documentation before the deadline of March 11, 2015. All schedule preferences for the Spring II term must be sub-mitted online between Monday, Feb. 23 and Wednesday, March 11. When you complete the request form, you must submit documentation, such as an official work schedule, an official letter from your child’s school or daycare work schedule to SYMR 204. Requests are not necessarily guaranteed.

To fill out the Class Time Request form: -Go to ieli.unt.edu -log in with your EUID and password.

Very few changes will be able to be made after the Spring II term begins.

Speaking Lab: “What did you say? Can you repeat that?” If you need to improve your pronunciation or want to practice “shadowing,” come to the ComWeb lab (SYMR 242) on Tuesdays (with Carol), Wednesdays (with Josh), and Fridays (with Evan) from 11:50 a.m. – 1:10 p.m. This is our “speaking lab”! Everyone will be practic-ing pronunciation or “shadowing”, so don’t be shy!

In need of counseling but not sure where to go? The Child and Family Resource Clinic (CFRC) is a counseling and training clinic that serves the Denton County community. They offer a sliding scale fee based on annual gross income. The cost for counseling can be made affordable for each client. Additionally, the CFRC does not decline counseling services to clients based on financial hardship.
