Spring Hours for 2015 Monday, April 27th - Saturday, June 6th
Spring hasn’t quite arrived in St. Albert yet, but we’re already gearing up for the extra
support our retailers in warmer zones of the country need at this time of year. As
always, start and end dates for spring hours may change if demand warrants.
Mondays—Fridays 7:30 a.m.— 5:00 p.m.
except Monday, May 18th 8:00 a.m.— 1:00 p.m.
Saturdays 9:00 a.m.— 11:00 a.m.
Spring Across Canada From your Editor—Debbie Ewing
In Nova Scotia, time marches on at a slower pace. 40 acres is still a BIG
farm. My father-in-law is still using the “new” equipment he bought
when my honey was a kid. This spring, don’t forget to slow down once
in a while - sometimes when the world is speeding by, you just need to
stop and smell the canola to keep things in perspective.

Tronia News & Events
Apparently Pam, Dee, & Anita (not exactly as shown) had a nice time at
the icebreaker! CAAR brought in a great lineup of speakers this year
(Dee found Doug Lipp’s presentation so compelling she bought his
book) and how could you beat that location? We hope to see you again
next year in Saskatoon.
CAAR Convention 2015
While attending his daughter’s wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Simon found the usual matrimonial festivities a little too tame. Dropping 48 meters in 0.48 seconds helped liven things up.

For new retailers going through their first
spring with agrē, and for old hands who might
need a refresher, here’s the best ways to get
support during the rush.
Extended Spring Hours
From April 27 to June 6 Tronia CSCs will
start earlier and stay later, so there’s more
hours in the day to contact them for support.
Monday to Friday we’ll be open from
7:30am - 5:00pm, except on Victoria Day from
8am - 1pm.
On Saturdays we’ll be open from 9 - 11am.
Office Hours Email Support
Actually, this is the fastest way to get
support before, during, and after office hours.
Sending an email to [email protected]
automatically creates a new ticket in our issue
tracking software and gets the support process
started immediately.
Please send a new email for a new issue so a
new support ticket is created. Replying to an
email your CSC sent you six months ago about
an old problem isn’t going to immediately
identify that you need help now with
something new.
If your CSC emails back regarding your new
issue, please reply from the same email. The
subject of the email tells our issue tracking
software to append what you just typed to the
existing support ticket. Replying with a
different subject would create a new ticket.
Office Hours Phone Support
Phone support is available during spring
hours. One CSC will be coming in early to
cover the 7:30 shift, and the other will be
staying until 5:00 to take the later calls. One
CSC will be available on Saturdays.
After Hours agrē Support
If you have a problem with agrē outside of
office hours, please send an email to
[email protected]. As soon as the office
opens, a CSC will read your email and get
started on resolving your issue.
After Hours Citrix Support (for hosted users)
If you are a hosted user and are having an
issue with Citrix outside of office hours, please
email [email protected].
This email address is for Citrix issues only -
Steve is a clever network administrator, but is
unable to provide agrē procedural assistance.
Getting help the fastest and most efficient way
agrē Support Tips
If getting ready for spring involves logging in to computers
and devices that haven’t been used since last year, don’t forget
to update the Citrix client before you login.
Installing the current version ensures your machine is
protected with the latest security updates .

Citrix: User Reactivations through My Account
To reactivate Citrix IDs for
spring, login to My Account
(Tronia’s version of Grower
Central) and head over to the
User Modifications tab.
From here you can reactivate up
to 5 IDs on the same request.
New IDs are requested from
here too - choose Add from the
drop-down menu instead of
Reactivate, and you can request
up to 5 new IDs on the same
submission.
At the end of the season, come
on back and submit a
deactivation request from the
same place.
If you haven’t used My Account,
full instructions are available in
the whitepaper in online Help. If
you’ve forgotten your ID or
password, contact your CSC.
Hey Hosted Users, it’s that time of year!
agrē, AgCollect & Syngenta CT
Syngenta has created a new program to track treated seed
Syngenta CT is a new EMR Manufacturer
created specifically for Syngenta seed
treatments.
Seed pre-treated from Syngenta will be
handled differently than Syngenta seed that is
normally received untreated and subsequently
treated by you.
Seed that comes pre-treated will have two
AgCollect manufacturers. Seed that comes
untreated will have one manufacturer and a
new product called Syngenta Seed Treatment
added to LOTs and Invoices.
Please refer to the AgCollect whitepaper in
online Help for product setup details.
agrē Q&A: Incorrect Main Unit Type
5
Q: Last year a chemical I sold came in a case,
with 2 jugs per case. This year there are no
cases, just jugs. agrē won’t let me change
the main unit type of a product that’s
already been used, so how do I get the
product to have right main units?
A: Because inventory quantity count and
current value are based on the main unit
type, agrē won’t allow you to change it.
What you need is a new product that looks
exactly like the old product—except with
the correct unit type and cost.
The main unit type can’t be changed - but there’s a work-around for it
Change the existing product code to
indicate it’s no longer in use (you can’t
have two products with the same code but
two products with the same description is
ok).
Copy the old product and change name
of the new product to be the same as the
original name.
On the Units tab, remove CASE and
make JUG the main unit type.
Adjust any remaining inventory of the
old product OUT, and the equivalent
quantity of the new product IN.
Remember to convert the cost (for
example, if a case cost $199.99 and there
are 2 jugs/case, a jug costs $99.99)
The last step is to go back to the Manage
Products grid and deactivate the old
product.

agrēMobile
agrēMobile is a live link to your Hosted agrē database.
Because agrēMobile is a web app, you can run it from
almost any device (Windows, Android, iOS) through
any browser (IE, Chrome, Firefox, etc.).
Everything is already setup for you to run agrēMobile.
There’s nothing Tronia needs to do behind the scenes;
there’s no app to download from an app store. You
just need to navigate to the agrēMobile website and
login with your agrē ID and password.
Add & Edit field scouts while on the move
Many devices support voice recognition so even
if you’re not an expert typist you can easily
record your information.
Field Scouts can be Added and Edited with agrēMobile.
Please refer to the agrēMobile whitepaper in online Help
for detailed instructions and a few handy tips (like how to
pin an agrēMobile shortcut to your home screen).
Any data entered through agrēMobile will
immediately be updated in your agrē database.
If you’ve gone “off the grid” agrēMobile also
has offline capabilities so you can create
scouts and sync them to agrē later when you’re
back online.
agrē eDocuments & eSignatures
7
eDocuments
eDocuments (included with agrē
so you can start using it right now)
allow you to “take a snapshot” of
many agrē reports.
While previewing the report, click
Save to Document Manager.
Customer and supplier eDocs can
be viewed on the documents tab
of their respective accounts.
Two great new features introduced in the last release
eSignatures
eSignature (premium module) allows you to add an
electronic signature to some eDocuments
before they’re saved to the document manager.
Reports like the location transfer can accept two
signatures: one for the sender and one for the
receiver.
You won’t need a separate signature pad to
capture eSignatures - you can use a fingertip to
sign on the touchscreen of a mobile device, a
mouse to sign on a desktop, or a touchpad or
trackpoint to sign on a laptop.
Documents of all types can also be viewed in the Document Manager.
