11
Regular Test Date Vs. Make-up
› Students and parents need to understand there is ONE test date.
› Make-up day is not an option day… it is a day for someone who truly was sick or had an emergency
› Do no advertise the make-up dates and push for everyone to test on the 1st testing date
› If there are not enough tests for make-ups you will need to prioritize:
#1 10th graders (for accountability)
#2 12th graders who have not passed
#3 11th graders who have not passed
#4 Meets to Exceeds for Tuition Waiver for those who signed-up
#5 For other Meets to Exceeds

All Test Administrators must read and be familiar with:
Testing Accommodations:
Guidelines for 2012-2013
33
Universal Accommodations
› Universal test administration conditions that are in a student’s IEP or 504 are not considered testing accommodations so do not need to be marked in Box K of the answer document
› May be offered to any student in order to provide a comfortable and distraction-free testing environment
34
35
See Testing
Accommodations
Guidelines
Standard Accommodations
Standard accommodations are available to:
– Students with certain injuries
– English Language Learners
– FEP Year 1 and Year 2 students
– Students with an IEP or 504 plan
36
Recording Accommodations
› Test administrators must record the use of standard accommodations in section K of the AIMS demographic data grid on the student answer document (see next slide)
› Detailed directions for marking the use of standard accommodations is on pages 46-47 of the Test Administration Directions.
38
Student Demographic Information
39
Students with Pre-ID LabelsWhen there is a label,
nothing is bubbled in except
Box K for accommodations
when appropriate
40
Student Bar Code Labels
The content area on the Pre-ID label must match the content area of the answer document.
41
Incorrect Pre-ID Labels
42
For Incorrect Labeling
› DO NOT attempt to remove the label
› NEVER EVER black out the label

• Students are to remain quiet until the end of the testing session
• Students may read or do class work silently while waiting for the scheduled test session to end
• Electronic devices may not be used during this time
46
Transferring Student Responses
› Students who tested using a Braille or large print version of the test must have their responses transferred to a standard answer document by an adult
› Students who used any assistive technology must have their responses transferred to a standard answer by an adult
47
After Testing, Test Administrators Need to Check That:
Found on Pg. 42 of Test Administration Directions
49
Special Circumstances
Contaminated Materials
› Do not return test materials contaminated with blood, vomit, or other bodily fluids
› Transfer student responses to a clean answer document
› Destroy contaminated test materials securely at school
50
Organizing Scorable Materials
(Answer Documents: Used and Unused)
51
Organizing Used Answer Documents (Scorables)
› Organize answer documents to be scored by content area and within each content area by cohort
› Separate cohorts for each content area with a colored piece of paper
› Note on each colored piece of paper, how many documents are within each cohort
› AIMS and Stanford 10 must be kept in separate boxes
52
Organizing the Non-Used Answer Documents
› Non-used answer documents are those that were not used because they were extra, student never showed up, misplaced label, coffee spilled on it….whatever
› Non-used answer documents are not being scored but must be returned along with the used answer document but keep in a separate stack
› Count the non-used answer documents and note how many are in the stack
53
Organize Answer Documents – AIMS HS
Writing, Reading, Mathematics can only be put into these cohorts: 2015, 2014, 2013, or
2012
Science can only be put into these
cohorts: 2016 or 2015
54
Organizing Stanford 10
• The AIMS and Stanford 10 test materials must be assembled and boxed separately.
• Stanford 10 answer documents are kept in one stack of 9th grade documents
55
Non-Scorable Materials
(Test Books, Reference Sheets, Rulers, Administration Manuals)
56
Organizing Non-Scorable Materials
Organize by content:
› Stanford 10 materials are kept separate from AIMS materials
› AIMS is separated by content only…all writing kept together, all reading kept together, etc.
› It does NOT matter if a test book has been used or not….they all go together
57
AIMS HS Manuals
› Hang on to Test Coordinator’s Manuals and Test Administration Directions until after AIMS HS Mathematics and AIMS HS Science in April
› Return all manuals with return of Math, Science and Stanford 10
58
Email Cindy to schedule a time to return all materials
Writing & Reading – March 6, 7,or 8
