    Hydrosphere of Lake Mead (Local Scale)

    Lake Mead is the largest lake that the colorado river runs through in the united states being oneof the largest reservoir when it is full. This lake serves millions of people living along thecolorado river including states like Nevada, California and Arizona. The lake can hold a capacitof twent si! million acres feet of water and can reach to one hundred twelve miles long whenthe reservoir is full. The map shows the pathwa of the Colorado "iver that runs through the

    lake and along the stream. The hoover dam is located where the Colorado "iver meets the lake,having control of the river flow b preventing floods and help store water to nearb cities andfarms. The Colorado "iver help generate the # droelectricit b having the flow of the riverflowing downward through the dam providing electric energ to be store.

    The evaluation of Lake mead is about twelve hundred feet above sea level and has short line ofseven hundred fift nine miles long.The Colorado "iver provides water to man of these lakeslike Lake Mohave, (eal lake, )oose Lake and Lake #avasu to fill their reservoir while travelingthrough the states of Nevada, California and Arizona. The regional map shows the pathwa ofthe river passing through Lake Mead along the state of Nevada entering the borderline of

    California and Arizona zone. Lake #avasu was formed b the damming the south section of theLake where the *arker +am is located. The evaluation of Lake #avasu is about four hundredfort to four hundred fift feet and a fort five miles short line.

    The "ock Mountain Located in Northern Colorado, is the main source of the water that theriver is supplied with. n the map shows the a better view of Lake Mead that intersects theColorado "iver water flows. -hen the rock mountains melts during high temperatures incertain season, it cost water to flow down the mountain into the river. The pathwa of the mapshows the river flow that is generated from the "ock Mountain passing along Colorado toNevada wheres Lake Mead stores the river water. The Colorado river leads the river flowstraight to the )ulf of California.
