Spot Characters 1 : Schopfbäume Growth Form

Caulescent trees bearing an apical tuft or ‘rosette’ of leaves

This growth form gives the tree a more or less umbrella – like shape

Usually with large, crowded leaves

Trees may be branched or unbranched – for branched Schopfbäume habit, each branch bears a tuft of leaves (e.g Aralidium pinnatifidum)
