new events, the INNOVATIONS IN
MAGAZINE MEDIA FORUM – based
on the content of our Innovations

(DNF), which tackled the issues
surrounding digital newsstands.

Gala eveningThe welcoming event of the Congress will focus
on networking and entertainment – giving our
delegates an unforgettable evening.
The opening is to be held at the Evergreen
Brick Works, once a brick manufacturing plant
and now an industrial landmark – adjoined to
local markets – that focuses on sustainability
and giving back to the community.
In true FIPP Style, the Congress will radiate
the traditions and flavours of the host nation.
Taking into account the astounding natural
beauty of Canada and the event being very close
to Thanksgiving, we’re going with the theme
of ‘country’ – think haystacks, dancing and
bucking bronco.
At the heart of this event will be a barn dance,

RIPLEY’S AQUARIUM Buses take delegates from the Sheraton Hotel to one of Toronto’s most popular attractions at the heart of the city.
A welcome speech from the sponsor is projected to screens around the aquarium.
Delegates wander through an underwater paradise immersed in a world of over 16,000 aquatic animals. The aquarium has nine galleries, including a shark enclosure.
Food stations are located throughout the venue, and there will be various picture points where photographers take branded photographs.
Additional features include branding within the water tanks and feeding sessions.
