IAEE (International Association of Energy Economics), a renowned international association, has entrusted the organisation of the 16th IAEE European Energy Conference in August 25–28, 2019 in Ljubljana. SAEE (Slovenian Association for Energy Economics) is actively involved in the conference organisation. More than 400 participants from all around the world are expected to participate at the conference. The conference attracts representatives from the business world, government, policy makers, institutions, consultants, academics and students, as it is recognised as an objective and equal playing field platform for the exchange of findings, experiences and ideas in all areas of energy economics (i.e. all energy sources and the energy use in all sectors and activities including an efficient energy use). The conference aims at presenting the open issues of the energy developments in the next decade (2020–2030) in an objective, transparent, neutral and a high quality way contributing to the sustainable development of the society and well-being of all.
