Because of our 2012 sponsors, We were able to reach our goal and purchase brand new reliable equipment for our kitchen so that we could meet the growing demand. Be-cause of your support, we were able to serve a record breaking 407 plates of food in one meal this past summer. This record breaking attendance has shown us how much need attendance has shown us how much need there is in our community for fresh, hot meals. With our average attendance just above 300 people your support is more vital now than ever.

Our Wednesday dinner service is “do-nate-what-you-can”. Those that are able are welcome to leave a donation in the can con-veniently placed at each table. Those that are not are welcome to dine, no questions asked. We estimate that of the 300 average attendance 85% of our guests are unable to leave a donation at all and struggle every day to provide food for themselves and their families.

This year we will work hard to lay the ground work for expansion of our services. As of January 1st our twice monthly meals have doubled to weekly meals - but that is still not enough. DeKalb citizens ranging from young families to senior citi-zens still struggle to provide for themselves in a weak economy. They depend on our meals not only for sustainable, but hope - hope that things only for sustainable, but hope - hope that things will get better.

2013 will prove to be our toughest fiscal year yet. This year we will face many challenges as we continue to grow to better serve our community. With our sites set on being able to provide a meal on a “doante-what-you-can” basis as many as 5 times per week within the next couple years, we have many needs. Your sponsorship will help us secure the following supplies and materials to secure the following supplies and materials to allow us to continue to feed our community:

- A Commercial Freezer: $4.946.59

- Soup Bowls + Drink Cups: $500.00

- Ice Machine: $1,650.00

- Dining Room Chairs: $8,000.00
