Welcome to the Splunk Technology Alliance Partner+ Program
Program Terms & Introduction Version Date: August 1, 2016
Splunk’s® Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) Program is focused on delivering customer value through complementary technology solutions. By growing our Partner ecosystem, we aim to create add-on value for customers leveraging Splunk and our partners’ technologies.
Below you will find details about our Splunk Technology Alliance Partner+ Program Terms. Please review these Program Terms to understand Splunk’s TAP Program requirements, tools, benefits and training options. These TAP Program Terms are incorporated into your Splunk Technology Alliance Agreement in accordance with its terms. Thank you for your partnership!
Solution Areas The following are the Splunk solution areas applicable to TAPs as of the version date first stated above: Shared customers in each of these solution areas can benefit from Splunk’s Operational Intelligence platform, complemented with a partner’s demonstrated product expertise and capabilities.
Application Delivery: Developing, testing, deploying and maintaining large scale, highly distributed and interconnected applications is extremely challenging. Splunk software enables customers to find and fix application problems faster to reduce downtime and increase proactive, end-to-end operational visibility into your key performance indicators.
Business Analytics: Splunk software analyzes, visualizes and monitors machine data from any source—such as applications, mobile devices and servers—to provide insights to IT and business operations on-premises and in the cloud. Delivering these enhanced business insights, in real time, to teams—including executives, sales, product, marketing, operations and customer service—can help transform an organization into a market leader.
Internet of Things: Splunk software ingests, analyzes and visualizes real-time and historical machine data from any source—including industrial control systems and connected devices—enabling you to improve operations, ensure safety and compliance, perform preventative maintenance and better manage the lifecycle of assets. Use Splunk to collect, index and harness the power of the machine data generated by connected devices and machines deployed on your local network or around the world.
IT Operations: Consolidate silos of machine data into actionable insights with Splunk software. This allows companies to drive critical business decisions, reduce costs and complexity and maximize operational efficiencies.

Development Tools
Not For Resale (NFR) License PROGRAM
As a Splunk TAP you will be provided a Splunk license intended for the development, testing and demonstrating of a joint solution. Additionally, all partners will have access to our best practices guides, getting started materials, the Splunk Add-On Builder and community support.
Partner Training
All contracted partners will be granted access enablement courses and certifications via the Splunk Partner+ Portal. Most partner education courses are free of charge; however, some instructor–led courses and certification programs are at a fee.

Splunk App Certification
All TAP partners are encouraged to submit their Splunk App or integration for certification. When a partner certifies their technology add-on customers and prospects can have increased confidence in the quality of the joint solution.
Partner+ Portal Once you have signed the Splunk TAP Terms you will be granted access to the Partner+ Portal. Within the Partner+ Portal, partners can access a wide variety of support resources including: partner enablement and certifications, NFRs and marketing tools.

TAP Program Compliance Partner Status
The four status levels for Splunk partners are:
Status Definition
New Any partner who has been in the program less than 365 days. After 365 days, the partner will automatically be assigned based upon achievement of requirements.
Complete Any partner who has met all of the program requirements.
Provisional A partner who has not fulfilled the requirements of the program will be given one compliance cycle (defined below) to achieve requirements.
Inactive Any partner who has not updated their technology add-on or app or uploaded a new add-on or app to Splunkbase within a 365 day period.
Changes to Partner Program Requirements and Benefits
From time to time, partners should expect Splunk to add or change specifics around program requirements and benefits. Updates to specific programs and promotions will take place with 30 days’ notice.
Additional Terms • In the case of acquisitions, mergers and/or other business combinations, the existing membership level of the surviving entity and the operating status of the acquired or merged entity, as applicable, shall dictate the membership criteria applicable to the newly formed entity.
• From time to time, Splunk will add new training modules regarding Code of Conduct, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and country-based compliance regulations. Partners will be required to successfully complete these.
